What was the most challenging part of your role at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust?
Ward demands, being short staffed constantly rushed off your feet due to all the patients calling their buzzers or requesting for things and there not being enough staff. Even with the shifts that were in correct numbers with staff, it still felt like there were not enough staff, due to all the duties and heavy patient load to clinical staff ratio. As a support worker you could have x2 bays and side rooms to care for (16) patients with 1 nurse who would also be very busy with other duties such as meds.Asked 13 May 2022
