Work-life balance

Head Chef in Hatfield, Hertfordshire
on 17 September 2020
Productive and fun workplace. A place where everyone is family away from home.
I joined Bella Italia then Mama Amalfi in 2002. I was pregnant with my third child at 3 months. I managed to work without any problems. I worked with the best management in the world. Bott from the head office to my restaurant manager. I managed to receive a paid leave for one year with my little one at home. As a Head Chef there are benefits of enjoying food in every restaurant under CDG plus bonus every quarter of the 12 months. Bella Italia is the best employer.

I absolutely love working at Bella Italia, everyone looks after each other and helps as much as they can. The management is amazing and it has helped me a lot as a person confidence wise.

wouldn't recommend working here at all. They used me for the lead up till Christmas (as a manger left) with no training or anything As soon as Christmas was over they let me go (as they worked out a week after Xmas was end of my 3 month probation) Staff turn over was very high which they failed to mention. Very poor bubusiness

Interview questions

I was asked about my personal life and what I enjoy doing in my spare time, because my manager was more interested in what I'm like as a person rather than my experience which is why I love my job, because its all about the people.
