Stage 1: You apply online and then if you're successful you receive an email saying that Benefit was really impressed with your application. Stage 2: You will receive a Telephone call from a Counter Manager or someone from Head Office of Benefit. They will ask you basic questions like: - Why Benefit Cosmetics? - What is your favourite Benefit product and why? - Give me a time when you have had to sell x amount of products - What do you know about Benefit? Stage 3: If you're successful, then you will be invited for an interview - this could be quite far from the store you're originally applying to (so be prepared to travel) You will have an interview with the Counter Manager at that store and they basically reiterate what questions they asked you over the phone, but get a feel for what sort of person you are and whether your character suits what they're looking for. Stage 4: Audition - this consists of being shown products that you will use on the customers (usually the best sellers). You will be asked to Traffic Stop as many Customers as you can. It's not as scary as it looks (just be confident) . A good way of approaching the Customer is asking whether they'd like a free makeover (most don't ever say no) so this is a good start. Stage 5: Store Approval - you have another meeting with the Counter Manager at the store you have applied to, to discuss what sort of hours you're looking for (Part Time/Full Time) and they ask you more questions such as: - What do you think is expected of you in this role? - How would you make sure you reach Sales targets? - What do you know about Debenhams? (If you're applying to a Benefit Counter in Debenhams/Boots etc) - What approach would you take when traffic stopping customers?
