Great place to work
Good on the job product training, working for a UK market leader....secure employment.Bensons is at the forefront of the bedding sector in the UK, and is therefor a hosehold well known brand when wanting to purchase a bed or bedroom furniture.I thoroughly enjoyed my 10 years working for Bensons for Beds.I only left due to the company withdrawing from Northern Ireland due to the administration process which involved a sister company (Harveys Furniture).

Hard work
The harder and faster you work ,the more you do ,great job ,but unrealistic expectations, if they are busy and not enough drivers ,the remaining drivers have to carry the load ,and loading of the vans are bad ,you could be moving heavy mattresses around all day cos it's loaded back to front ,It was my van being loaded back to front to many times that made me want to leave ,then a lot of drivers left so the final straw was a ridiculously busy round in Derby, plus a delivery added on 30 miles away ,so enough was enough ,shame I enjoyed the job ,and was very good at it

Stay well away!
Worst company I have ever worked for. Advertise as a "family workplace" but is anything but. Everyone is out for themselves and will stab you in the back any chance they get to further their own career. Management are useless (Some I'm shocked even got the job). Make you work overtime and if you refuse, will punish you for it. Some decent people in there as not all bad but overshadowed by the Management who see you as nothing but a number. Minimal training/support and fast paced using technology so out dated that I can only presume Adam and Eve created. Also will take any chance they can get to put the blame on you, make you sign documents whilst you're on a call so you don't have time to read it and much more. My advice..stay well away!

Very Stressful
I worked at Bensons for around 10 months. Positively the money is reasonable and the staff below manager level generally o.k. to work with. Staff turnover is very high. However, every nano second of the working day is monitored with techniques that make the Stasi look amateurish. Also need to take into account enforced overtime at flat rate. Also don't expect to be able to log off at 5.00 as you will be expected to work on until all calls are cleared even though you may have an appointment or be relying on public transport. You might get help from a team leader if you can find one not dealing with their cars, or talking about their new kitchen or holidays or on social media while you are stressing out dealing with customers with another failed delivery delivery, soiled mattress or broken bed. No doubt management will read and copy and paste the generic response about how sorry they are and will refer to higher management. This is just lip service, nothing will change.
