Work instead of gym
Class 2 Driver (Former Employee) - Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire - 19 July 2023
To be fair, if you are a gym person, instead of paying membership to gyms just work here. Carrying the goods up and down stairs constantly, split the pallets, long hours (11-if your are lucky-,14), 26tonnes in central london, place the goods in to the fridges etc. The only but only good thing about the company is you get really good experience as you drive in central london.

No appreciation
Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) - Banbury - 24 May 2023
If your a good picker expect to get more hassle from the managers but if your a bad picker you get a nice easy ride. No appreciation for the hard work you do and we'll training is no existent, literally throw you in the deep end. If you have extra minutes past your break time expect to be punished but if your not being monitored on headset which loaders and cleaners aren't then you can do what you like.
Pros
Some people is what makes the place OK
Cons
Working Sundays, management & no training

Good first driving job
Good place to work. Shifts are long but worth it the pay is ok…. Lorry’s are old and need updating but you have a drivers mate to help you with the delivery

Good work place
HGV Driver CLASS 2 (Current Employee) - Hoddesdon - 27 April 2023
A good place to work at and also experience more skills and values. Some people working with you can be very helpful and others can really destroy your night shift with laziness and frustration. You only need to stay calm in other to safely comeback to the depot in peace. Just promise yourself not to go out with such people anymore, because staying focused on the road is my number one priority.
Pros
Free hot drinks on site for everyone
Cons
Sometimes your expected route is taken from you and given to favoured people at the work place, just because that person requested to take that route.

Its Marmite
HGV Driver (Current Employee) - Banbury - 19 April 2023
As a driver you’ll either hate it or love it, delivering palletised fast food products. Be prepared to handball and stairs are involved in places, sack trucks and ept’s are provided. This is my second time employed here.
Pros
great pay, great colleagues
Cons
handball, vehicles

Jobs at Best Food Logistics
Wouldn’t recommend
Night Loader (Current Employee) - Oldham - 12 April 2023
Not exactly what I’d consider a positive job, it’s hard, stressful and exhausting. The staff are alright at times but some of the management are hard to get along with and to communicate to. Not my best experience working somewhere. I’m looking for an out.
Pros
5 days off every three weeks
Cons
Long hours, painful and exhausting

Stressful/Negative/Competitive Atmosphere
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Royton - 24 March 2023
I have worked as a picker at the Best Food site in Royton for over 5 years, and I can tell you it is both one of the best and worst jobs I have ever had. On the positive side of things, you work with a great bunch of people in the warehousing side of things, and for the most part, there is a good sense of comradery between us. You get paid a good wage considering the work you do, and have an onsite canteen and coffee/drink machines which are good quality. However, this pales in comparison with the negative aspects of the job. Overtime is enforced & expected via flexitime, and extending beyond the expected 2 hour extension into sometimes 14 - 16 hour shifts in peak periods, and if this is not accepted as 'part of the job', your future with the company, your job, and or/your advancement is threatened . Hostile management who's inadequacy and ineptitude cause a fracture in the cohesiveness of the team and develop a very Us/Them mentality. A very selective/pick-and-choose scenario for advancement, in which some workers who have been with the company for 2-3 years+ have been stonewalled from advancement, whilst others who have been with the company for less than 6 months are given those same opportunities despite no record of reliability. Hazardous work environments are commonplace, especially in the frozen warehouse section. Any attempts to negotiate, to reason with, or to discuss anything that goes against management's agenda and viewpoints, is met with scorn, dismissal, abusive language and mockery.
Pros
Good money, good food facilities.
Cons
Consider this as a job only as a last resort. Abandon all hope ye who enter.

Good place for new class 2
HGV Class 2 Driver (Current Employee) - Banbury, Oxfordshire - 9 February 2023
Very good place to start your driving career. Very helpful managers and colleagues. The job itself can be hectic and sometimes hard as some places have stairs and want the delivery upstairs. You get regular routes and once you've got used to your routes you'll be fine. If you treat the customers well they will feed you. They have some old trucks and some new which is the same everywhere. Can improve the quality of equipments such as EPT. Overall a good place to work if you enjoy driving trucks. Hours can be anything between 12 to 15 depending on the traffic but that's the nature of the work. Money is good but you have to earn it. Recently had a pay rise which is nice.
Pros
Driving trucks/ free food from kfc burger king pizza hut
Cons
Traffic traffic and traffic

Enjoyable
HGV Class 2 Driver (Former Employee) - Banbury - 6 February 2023
I enjoyed working but the drops have to be done within a time frame, they are strict and you must reach their standard within their probationary period, however they can extend to allow for improvement if not reaching the standard
Pros
Enjoyable, great management
Cons
Drops can be difficult

Hardworking.
HGV 2 Driver (Former Employee) - Hoddesdon - 5 February 2023
Rotating stock in fridges ,pallets up slopes harder if you are not lucky enough to get an electric pumptruck. Different destinations every day. Building a rappor with some clients. Personally I think it should be a 2xman job.
Pros
Free lunches sometimes.
Cons
Varied start times, long days. Should be a 2 man job.

Hard job
HGV Class 2 Driver (Former Employee) - Oldham - 12 January 2023
You need to unload by hand a 26t truck a day and take delivery inside using a sat truck. It pays more than the average but it's hard. The benefit is cheap cantine and that you get Sundays off.
Pros
Sundays off and cheap cantine
Cons
Long hours and hard job.

Money is good, hard work.
Driver (Former Employee) - Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire - 2 January 2023
Hard work, the way drivers are dealt with could be better. But the hours are there if you want to put your head down and graft. Money is good but there are other easier driver jobs.
