We will never run out of rubbish, so If You are not lazy, want to work, agree to follow h&s rules, Youll be happy.Only thing that bothers me is the shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off. A bit hard to switch between days and nights so often.

Shambolic management

Do not apply for a job at biffa unless you have no ambition, no self respect and enjoy being victimised. The work is disorganised, you could have work to do in Winchelsea Northiam and Flimwell even though they're miles apart and it wastes time and more importantly fuel. The council do not get value for money especially when the management dont check the work done and therefore weeds grow 3 ft high out of the pavement and no one does any sweeping ever.

Long hours pay not good

They tell you the hours you will work and you end up working a lot more and when you have done your work you have to go and help other crews and why you did their work they wentvto the tip and then home. You can end up working 12 hours a day with a 45 minute break and you are very tierd and your life is not your own so if you want to work long hours its the job for you

Terribly long shifts, almost no break time, fast paced stressful job. High staff turnover. Shift length often 12 hours long. Vehicles are often very dirty inside.

Overall I would advise people not to work here, because management seems oblivious to the workers problems and more worried about paper work. In general the workers are a good bunch of lads but everyone moans about the working conditions.
