We had to come up with a product and build a marketing strategy within a week with a budget constraint and then pitch it to the board. It involved a lot of research, brainstorming, and scheduling. We created our logo and prototypes of the products we wanted to market, floorplans of our event venue with our layout of how we wanted it to look, budgeted our campaign and event, wrote and designed our presentation in a way to represent our company.
Pros
free education
Cons
little time to completed our tasks

A great growing brand delivering creative courses and an organisation that for the most part works to improve the lives of young people in more ways than one. Unfortunately like most organisations this work is tainted by disingenuous senior leadership, entitled staff who are favoured by management. Senior Leadership often do not recognise their own hyprocasy and strategically devalue staff in order to justify redundancies and restructures and best serve their own purposes. If you choose to work their you need to be assertive, fight for your rights, keep a record of everything as they will use it against you so be prepared. They also will overlook you for promotions and operate with bias. You will have great moments, but will also experience and witness things that make you question your place there.

A typical day - Struggling with both management and kids. What I learned - Never work for a private college. Management - Do not listen to staff and take no action if it means the college gets fewer funds. The hardest part - Almost everything, spineless management and trying to teach professionally with hurdle after hurdle is thrown at you. Most enjoyable - Teaching the few that wish to learn.

great environment, kids need a lot of encouragement as many have failed their GCSEs. Very supportive staff, and work hard to ensure they meet the OFSTED standards

Day to day activities include calling students that aren't in lessons, helping students with coursework I learnt how to lead classes and work with SEN learners Very relaxed workplace culture The hardest part of the job is the paperwork that comes with each class The most enjoyable part of the job is the relaxed environment and staff
