Very stressful and fast paced
Birmingham city council has a very strict guidelines and the work is very stressful and fast paced. Very little way of help is given from managers who always take little responsibility when problems arise. If you want your sanity please do not apply it’s not worth your mental health

The council was very unorganised
There was no proper training in place. Management wasn’t very organised or nice. Taking sick leave even felt stressful due to the level of workload.

Under valued
Managers, haven't got a clue. Staff given up grades overpaid for doing nothing. Always the same in BCC its if your face fits. Directorate heads stayed at home during covid. Majority of the managers never showed their face in the building for over 2 years joke.
