There's a lot of people in charge so often jobs get passed down which. can be difficult if you need something important sorting. It can be quite relaxed though depending on the position. There's nice staff who work there but you won't get any advancements or praise for your good work. If you like a job to stay under the radar and just to get a job then this could work for you. They pay on time and they pay better than other private places.
Social Worker in Bickerstaffe Square

Management with old fashioned views, unwilling to change.
Competitive Salary, modern office, friendly co-workers.Professional fees paid for.ConsJobs are advertised as flexible working when in practice, this is not encouraged.Management refuses to allow people to do hybrid work more than one day a week, like other local councils.Upper management is unapproachable and does not care about the workers. Only hear from them when something has gone wrong. Some middle management can be very caring and understanding but unable to do much to help people.Car parking is very expensive and prices increase quite often.High caseloads, problems with staff being off sick long term. Those still there have to pick up the slack which causes more burnout and others going off sick themselves.Management is slow to recruit new staff after people leave and very slow to recruit agency workers to help in the short term.Advice to ManagementShow more recognition of your workers. Recognise the hard work they do, even by talking to them once in a while... it can go a long way and doesn't take much effort.Be more understanding of your worker's personal situations. If you are looking for a place that allows you to have a healthy work-life balance, do not apply here... unless you are happy to come into the office every day.
