Long hours, short staffed. The more you do the more they want!! Want you to work long hours but don’t want to pay you!! Management speak to you like dirt...absolute joke of a company to work for.
Job security, share plan
Want you to work overtime...don’t want to pay you.
Lots of chances for progression if you have a can do attitude. Achieving bonus is attainable if you work hard. Decent canteen, you can choose what time you take your dinner break (varied slots) no headset picking, you use a wearable instead. Good training is given on induction.
Training, breaks, overtime, vouchers at xmas, double discount days
To much CCTV surveillance (big brother is watching)
Wouldn't even rate this shower of sh.. a 1. Corrupt management only out for themselves. They target individuals when they have something against that one person. Make their own policies up in there head dependant on who their trying to do over. Disgusting company to work for.. if you have abit of sense swerve Booker!!!!
Worst experience ever ! Management is awful! They are all bullies especially sales manager & HR. Only 3 black people in whole company and I was the third LOL! Ever seen the movie get out.. HA! To be specific the ‘male’ sales manager was very unhygienic and disrespectful who loved to gossip about his own team members. He also used to blamed everything on his own team members to make himself look better what a joke
Ok salary, lots of freebies, Great working hours
No professionalism, racism, Management, Hr, bullying, no diversity and much much more !
Managers are always rude and grumpy, they overwork you, health and safety is none existant, PPE is not required, only a high vis if picking but no safety gloves or boots, their hand scanners are never washed and are covered in 20 years worth of dried up crusty sweat which is disgusting, they never pay you for overtime and when you dispute not being paid they do not ever pay you for time and a half or double when you are owed it. Everyday my supervisor would pester me for overtime then when I worked it they would not pay me and they wondered they I left. On top of all of those reasons not to work there, the building itself is filthy and falling apart. At one point part of the ceiling inside collapsed and could have killed someone. DO NOT WORK HERE. They are con artists.
Management are awful, no pay for overtime

Bookers isn't a fair company, most of the time, managers are jubious to work with colleagues as most members are insubordinate towards authority. The Salary is laughable, due to the amount of work we have to do, it isn't surprising that workers come and go.
Always short staffed. Jobs are horrid, expect you to be able to split your self in to a million people and gets everything done in an hour. Management have no idea who to speak to people. No matter what you do it’s never good enough
I worked for makro Norwich for 6months, some days can be very stressful and a little disorganised, you work every other Saturday so not to bad for a retail/ catering company, probably the biggest let down for me was the other van drivers were on 50p more an hour than me due to being on a older contract, the pay is competitive if your on a old contract but newer workers will get less, you can advance to become a canter driver on the 7.5 tonne, apart from the hourly wage it’s not a bad company to work for and the staff are all friendly,
Coffee, not a bad pension, time and a half
Can be very stress full, less pay doing the same job as other van drivers
Neil Jones ! If your from Wigan you will be fine and looked after , worked there 4 years and your expected to have no life and live for booker . Good lads work there and the money’s good with plenty overtime that’s all that’s keeping people there , very very pathetic managers and serious brown noses sniffing about them. Trust none of them
Cheap canteen / good lads work with
Branch in Swindon crazy job long hours very heavy hand ball mainly of drinks and alcohol. You have to move staff to the shop floor maniualy tinie spaceses. Very rare that customer help you. They deliver to the premier shops. WORTS THING THEY DON'T PAY OVERTIME since January this year. Sometimes you have to load whole lorry. Always you have to add fresh, chilled and frozen staf before you go on route. One word long hours carp pay and havey lifting. Normaly up to 11h per day and as new driver to them they always gave you some extra drops than normally driver have
Long hours+ heavy hand ball no overtime paid
If you skip break on tacho you might finish early
Worked in reading for 2 years managment are vindictive and expect you to do overtime for no extra pay always put extra on the same people they want you to work your breaks regardless of taco hours hence put it on break while unloading or you get back late and are unpaid for extra time van drivers just get put on like the lowest of the low. If you refuse to do a delivery its classed as unreasonable request and your taken to the office and disciplinay procedures started yet for some its ok to refuse. No health and saftey and no risk assessments for customers premises so could be taking up steps etc. Overload cages and have no idea how hard it is to pull a 350kg cage over streets and up and down kerbs unless you want rubbish pay given by rubbish managers at a rubbish place of work steer clear. If you go sick you get a disciplinary and they try to sack you after a couple of times sick.
Sometimes get a drink of very few customers
Unpaid extra hours rubbish management
I was very rarely paid correctly. expected to work after hours for free and treated like a child regularly. Branch assistants are expected to work until breaking point whilst the managers eat takeaways in the office. Staff are not treated equally and the atmosphere is depressing, most staff will go off sick as it’s the only way they are able to escape this prison.
Have to chase to get paid correctly, unpaid hours
