Door supervisor
Doorman (Former Employee) - Loughborough - 3 January 2020
A physical role. Close attention must be paid and be alert at all times. At times confrontations will happen and you are required to physically remove individuals for various reasons. Can be fighting, urinating spitting assault of individuals vandalism, using drugs selling drugs or many many other reasons. Yes a sia licence is needed and no it's not for the faint hearted

They need more professionalism, equality of employees and customers
Doorman (Former Employee) - Leicester, Leicestershire - 23 September 2019
This company has lost many brave door supervisors because of the lack of professionalism, absence of respect, hypocrisy, lack of equality within the team and also discrimination towards some particular types of guests or customers. Wages don’t reflect the amount of risks faced during night shifts in dangerous clubs. Rudeness from the operation or area managers. Lots of bad behaviour need change

I got to know how to use a radio with the correct alphabetical code & the procedures of stopping and searching a male/female with a positive attitude & being respectful.

Its a good job but its not for every one.
Head Doorman (Former Employee) - St. Ives, ENG - 20 September 2015
ok so id start work at ten o clock every Thur,Fri,Sat night and finish at about half past two.I go in make sure the owner/manager is ok then id sign in with the cctv, once thats done i put my other co workers in position in side the venue.we normally have a nice night were every one is happy. The hardest part of the job is if some one has had to much to drink or if there is an altercation inside if this does occur then myself or my co workers will deal with it accordingly.
For me the best part of the job is to know every one has had a happy and safe night.
Pros
get to meet new people all the time.
Cons
unsociable hours to work
