what is the company about
Ramp Agent (Former Employee) - Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 & 3 Station - 4 April 2019
This is a nice company I enjoyed my over 40 years with this company
I was working in friendly and well organised surrounding. Mainly my duties was in baggage hall but I did support in different department IE lost bags where you support external costumers. Some time working with baggage very pressured but if you use pristine handling technique it make much easier to preform.
Pros
shifts travel and many more
Cons
none

relaxed working environmemt, physicaly quite demanding ,
baggage handler (Former Employee) - Gatwick and Heathrow - 11 December 2016
After working in the close knit enviroment of gatwick baggage for thirteen years,I was saddened by british airways decision to discontinue the ramp operation.I knew baggage operation quite well after so many years but decided to relocate to Heathrow where I remained for a further four years, finaly leaving in august 2016,due to the traveling involved. At Heathrow the job was quite a bit heavier due to the nature of the long hall operation.I made numerous good friends while with the company and would like maybe to work with some of them again.
Pros
staff travel
Cons
odd working hours

Fun Work Place
Ramp Agent (Current Employee) - Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 & 3 Station - 29 November 2016
You can be rostered onto various points so I like a bit of variation in my jobs, it's an extremely fun and enjoyable place to work especially because of the people you work with. A day can variate between driving containers of bags to and from the aircraft and offloading them. I've learnt a lot whilst being at BA, especially being wary and taking responsibility for everything you do. The management aspect is a tad lackluster due to management not building rapor with colleagues and never have a decent relationship with them because they just consider you a "number". My co-workers are the the main reason I go to work because they make the day enjoyable. The hardest part of the job is the shift work. Having done it for nearly 3 years I would say I am use to it but you never get used to it. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people as I have previously stated.
Pros
Cheap flights
Cons
Minimal social life

Great Atmosphere
Baggage handler (Former Employee) - Heathrow - 12 May 2016
The day to day job involved loading the passengers luggage onto the aircraft ready for the flight to take off. It was a good job and provided all the training nevertheless, it was not suitable to me.

A new experience
Ramp Agent (Former Employee) - Heathrow Airport - 16 April 2013
Working at the airport was quite something. Working the shifts was a new experience for me. Learned a lot as never worked at an Airport before. Driving a different vehicle near the aircraft was a new experience. The hardest part of the job was getting use to the shift pattern. Most enjoyable was being outdoors. management were quite fair and cooperative. Wish I could have stayed longer on this Job.
Pros
outdoors
Cons
early shifts
