Exciting job with constant change. Salary increases annually due to performance, so no begging for increases like other companies as its black and white here. Great managers and good training. Always team events and nights out, good social company. Additional rewards offered through out the year. Great pension and benefits package. Changes not always fully thought through before happening and they often are on adhoc basis. Targets can be tough. Customers can be let down due to slow turn around on acquiring their incentives.
A very good company to work for in terms of learning about sales and marketing with support from the managers. They provided good training and there is very good support for the TMR's advancements. I worked for BAT for 14.5 years and learned a lot in sales and marketing and made good friends too.
Pros
Good salary, good training, Company car, Free private healyh care, good bonuses
Cons
Long hours
Offers loads of challenges every day as is the nature of the job and a requirement. Working on many individual projects. For sure this is a real FCMG company. You need clear head every day. Is not for everyone especially now when working from home, all training done from home with help of MS Teams.
Pros
challenges, learning something new every day
Cons
getting my head around the changing priorities with minimum notice
BAT stands out among the many companies I've worked with as a management consultant for its culture - so much so that I joined the company and spent nine amazing years there. Working for BAT you can expect a very high degree of diversity, limited politics, and a supportive management structure that prioritises development of people.
Pros
Fantastic culture
Cons
Product doesn't exactly engender pride
The management was very well in handling the staff and well organised,it was a great experience working with them and knowledge about the market and sales
I worked as an EA, very stressful and fast paced.
However, hard work is rewarded and acknowledged.
Great benefits and generally a fun role.
I was treated very well by my seniors and the Directors I worked for.
Highly recommended!
Global though controversial WHO product and Marketing was badly affected the way of conducting business
Business scaled down and regions become smaller
Pros
Career progression
Cons
Controversial product
I totally recommend BAT. Is such a diverse working environment, collaborative and supportive. You can truly build a career there if you are knowledgeable, ready to work and give your best.
Couldn’t have enjoyed or learned more with this company, great culture, great people and management very supportive of career progression and learning and development!
Everyone irrespective of titles are very approachable and helpful, Relaxing, friendly culture, team work was important, work hard play hard culture, flexible hours, possible to work from home,
Pros
Can dress as you please
Cons
People could smoke e cigarettes at work
Good salary and benefits, however over the past 5 years development budgets have been cut along with discretionary spend to focus on reinvestment into new categories - appropriate commercial decision, however poorly led resulting in negative work culture and leadership behaviours.
Good company, good manager, EMEA and NA remit, varied workload, fast paced, collaborative team, opportunity to expand global knowledge re: both compensation and benefits
Highly scientific and technology focused. Very challenging but if you get in the right team, under the right management you will be greatly rewarded. Ask lots of questions, get stuck in and avoid if at all possible to get frustrated with the IT systems. However its a great place to work with many key benefits. Good luck
Great company to work for. Forward thinking and great benefits for employees. Work culture was great and team were fantastic.
Moved up in finance department getting lots of financial exposure. Management were always keen to progress you. Options to work school hours were considered. Pension and share sceme great.

Slow decision making at Global and Regional Offices
Highly political performance appriasal process
Construí uma grande carreira no grupo Bat trabalhando em suas subsidiárias no Brasil e Venezuela. Minha última função foi na Inglaterra e por motivos pessoais tomei a decisão de retornar ao Brasil.
I have worked for BAT for over 7 Years in total, and enjoyed it, due to the people, and large budgets. No nonsense "blue collar" environment, fast paced and stressful but no bullies.
Pros
great canteen
Cons
Increased complexity due to outsourcing
BaT is a good company to work for. They offer good non financial benefits and bonus scheme. In general work can get stressfull but i would say, same as in most of the comanies. Since i've been working for them thwy made big progress in Supply Chain
Mature Supply Chain Management process on Global System with global impact. Best use of integrated systems I have experienced. First experience of Category Management as purely Strategic Role with no diversions to solve d2d issues. Yielded thinking time and chance to Project Manage sourcing solutions.
