A very good company to work for in terms of learning about sales and marketing with support from the managers. They provided good training and there is very good support for the TMR's advancements.I worked for BAT for 14.5 years and learned a lot in sales and marketing and made good friends too.

Good salary and benefits, however over the past 5 years development budgets have been cut along with discretionary spend to focus on reinvestment into new categories - appropriate commercial decision, however poorly led resulting in negative work culture and leadership behaviours.
POSITIVES Global FTSE-5 business with strong performance Strong corporate governance, ethical and sustainability practices Excellent employee remuneration, benefits, support and policies Excellent colleagues drawn from best of industry Scale and Pace of business very stimulating NEGATIVES Regular restructuring especially in Global and Regional Offices Highly competitive with aggressive internal way of working Poor work life balance - several cases of burnout reported annually Slow decision making at Global and Regional Offices Highly political performance appriasal process

Very challenging but often rewarding place to work. Working at BAT provides a global opportunities for individuals wanting to experience this. You also get to experience working practices from different cultures being a global company. There pay and reward packages offered are very competitive
Good benefits and pay
Huge hierarchy structure
Great place to work , when it comes to culture and work life balance. Too much politics and restructuring which creates a "kill or be Killed " mentality amongst team members.
Good work life balance
Often changing strategies with Senior management fighting for turf.
Excellent place to develop capabilities and grow as a leader of people and teams. Always new challenges and opportunities. Culturally a place where you feel like part of a family, however is becoming increasingly tough with the rise in expectations.
Opportunities, Challenge, Development
Senior management becoming dis-connected from organisation.
A large organization with scattered system but an organization open to ideas, best practices and learning from past. It is process oriented and will do well to do projects with flexible timelines.
Easy going people, open work culture
Long hours, decision making is too long
