Volunteered for the organisation for a few years , within my time there I overall grew as a person and gained a lot of experiences job wise and life wise that I use to this day . Great place to volunteer for some work experience.

Welcoming and has lots of skills that can be learnt easier than most places

This job is a volunteering job so there is no pay. The branch that I worked at were extremely welcoming and kind, friendly. I learnt a lot of skills in the short time that I volunteered here such as customer service, clothing sizes (it was really useful even though I'm not into fashion or how clothes are), I developed more skill in teamwork, in communication and I learnt how easy it can be to organised and what it can bring.

Breaks, friendly environment, always something to do and it is not tiring

Shop can get full easily

Staff were really nice and were patient. Provided some free drinks and snacks as well. Had experience with casher tile and the manager was a really nice lady.

Productive and fun workplace

There was literally next to no problems and everyone there was really nice and I would honestly go back. A typical day would include restocking the shelves which was really easy to do and I worked at the front desk and all you had to do was memorise the codes. Everyone’s really sweet, just ask for help when you need it.

It's a great place

I have been volunteering at the British Heart Foundation for 3 months now. It is a great team, great atmosphere in the shop. I made the right choice when I came to volunteer here. You can come any day of the week at any time and work as much as you want or can. The work consists of helping in the shop itself, rearranging furniture, moving furniture from the shop to the pick-up area for delivery to customers. I also assemble furniture that has arrived disassembled.The atmosphere in the shop is friendly

Excellent place to work at BHF staff work as a team

I am learning to use the till I love it helping customers keeping the shop floor clean and tydy I like tagging and steaming putting clothes on rails after they been priced up always smiling at customers if they look lost ask them if they need any help

Fun but quiet on some days

Management was extremely helpful in teaching the necessary skills to do the job. The other staff were also friendly. The only downside was that some days were extremely quiet, and so there wasn't much to do.

Engaging People

Working at the smaller bhf in Hounslow was super fun ! The staff (most of them) were super lovely and super helpful even if you made mistakes and even the customers who came there - they always started little convos brightening up your day . However it is still Hounslow so there are bound to be some strange customers popping up but overall it was a great experience .

What is the best part of working at the company?Working with other people.Having regular work days.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Nothing. It wasn't stressful but it could be hard work carrying heavy furniture up and down the stairs.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Friendly.There is a staff room.What is a typical day like for you at the company?Move furniture where I'm told to.Sometimes I take brick a brac to the other BHS shop.
