Reviews about Pay & benefits for Assistant Manager at British Heart Foundation
Charity
Fast pace. Good fun but can be stressfull. Good working team/environment but H.O want blood sweat and tears for little pay. Are looked after, holiday pay, pension, health insurance etc etc. But you have to work famn hard for it.
Pros
Regular hours.
Cons
H.O want a lot for what you get paid

Good environment, relaxed
Too many targets to beat. KPI´s sometimes unrealistic. Management pushes you to hard to accomplish their numbers required from the above. Salary is actually a joke if you compare with other similar roles in retail, just above minimum wage.Benefits on this level (retail) are almost none i.e.: NO Cycle to work scheme, NO health insurance that covers your appointments for example, dentist, etc
Some good things:
Holidays are a must: 33 holiday days paid

Amazing place, low salary
This is such an amazing place to work but unfortunately due to it being a charity the pay is not really enough to live on unless you have another source of income.
Pros
Friendly atmosphere
Cons
Low rate of pay
