  • I would suggest general administration skills such as Microsoft packages customer service, communication skills. many years ago I completed a level 3 business administration course which first got me into the MET police as admin officer (AO). Many of the training courses are in-house training anyway so you will be taught PNC, niche and other police packages that you would need as an administrator for the police. If you have Excel that would be an advantage for some jobs within the company or if your field is accountant or finance also benefit you or science as forensic. Most people who are graduates can apply for various roles for police work. However I do not have a degree and I still found employment within the organisation as I have more work and life experience to contribute. It depends on what areas you feel you're good at. If you are good at researching and escalating reports and showing your findings, submitting reports in a professional Timely manner, inputting data, filtering cleansing database accurately, meeting deadlines communicating people effectively then the analyst or research work may suit you best. However not all research work includes the above tasks. Each role will vary.
