Good Management but…
Excellent management who help you achieve goals, succeed & fight your corner when needed. No career ladder and poor salaries which need looking at & no benefits eg enhanced maternity pay

Flexible and good for temporary work
Good for temporary work and if you are looking for a part time job as a student. It was based on when there is vacanies available. The only discouraging part is the pay - needs to be much higher if they want their vacanies to be filled.

Stressful process
From offer to starting the role it was about 5 weeks. The compliance team has no clue what they’re doing and keep delaying the process. Getting a DBS check was the easiest part! There are no benefits of working for an agency, as you can imagine. The phone numbers they provide you with to report issues/absences are both invalid numbers that don’t even ring through! Useless to say the least. Wouldn’t recommend or try this again.

Varied but overall good stepping stone
Brook Street is a strange one to review as they may have one role you will love and another you will hate, my experience has been positive with HMRC but have moved roles a few times and have not enjoyed certain aspects as much. Brook street employees themselves are also very hit and miss, some great at helping you with your queries, some... not so much. Overall, like I say, good stepping stone to get experience in anticipation of better things.
