Hiab Driver in Norwich, Norfolk

My BRS Manager was good
Hiab driver contracted to B&Q Norwich. I had a BRS manager who was great , very on the ball , decent and professional . Got allocated a Renault Truck. Monday - Friday 7am starts and every other Saturday through summer. Finish times varied busy in the summer 6pm finishes say and 3pm in winter . Pay was not great think it was £20,000 pa . Plus overtime, but often had it fiddled by admin manager. Can be a nice job . Downside is B&Q management who could not run a bath, and constantly micro managing.

Driver review
Work wise the job was ok but very poorly organised by brs management, once van loaded it was ok and day was upto you pretty much , but I feel for nature of job they could do more and offer more to help . Staff were all treated differently and staff doing same job sometimes paid differently.

Flexible working hours
Not a bad place, just needs direction. Managment are quite new and just lacked a little structure. The location is quite far on a daily commute although there was no real fixed hours

Avoid BRS
Worked on behalf of B&Q with brs the lack of communication with brs was unbelievable telling you to do something then another telling you do another also promising you things they never deliver then they drop you just out of nowhere without a call. AVOID the b&Q CONTRACT WITH BRS

They are just a huge agency.
They are a contracting firm wether you are told otherwise. We worked out of B&Q in Portsmouth. When no work is on they expect you to sit in a public car park in your truck until the end of the day. They have no facilities, apart from what they use from there customers i.e B&Q. The level of support you get from the Managers are next to zero. And when you need support from higher up, they just chuck you under the bus. Find something elsewhere.
