My line managers were great, but the top bosses are invisible & have little or no regard to the staff that work with the clients. They expect more & more and you can’t possibly do what they ask in the time you have as well as give the clients a fulfilling, happy day at the day centre.Too much politics and paperwork is making social care a job that people no longer want to do! Shame as clients are fabulous!

Great clients, shocking staff environment.

I worked in the adult social care sector at a respite. The clients are great, however the longer standing staff/management are very clicky!If you you needed to report anyone you had to go higher than in house management, you had social care assistants thinking they was management, felt like you was being watched constantly and didn’t feel trusted. Lots of talking behind peoples backs and bullying going on and nothing has been done about it for years. Toxic environment to be in. Constant high staff turnover and they can’t see why, which is beyond me.

Awful company

You are expected to do the amount of work 5 people should be doing. Management give no support and staff are hostile towards each other. The salary is not enough for what you are expected to do and you are treated so poorly. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
