Warehouse Operative in Huddersfield
on 28 January 2021
Would not recommendAs a warehouse operative you’re just a replaceable temporary staff. In case you don’t like anything management do or say “there’s the door”. Don’t like looking after staff and no training is provided but if you make a mistake they will not coach you they just sack you. Unorganised place and constantly has new people coming in every two minutes as they just sack them on regular basis. No job is secure in this place.

Good company to gain knowledge, experience and progression opportunitiesMost days present interesting or challenging pieces of work, tasks or new situations - this is common in fast growing businesses and is a great opportunity for people to develop their skills and experience and to have a genuine impact on the future of the business. The management hierarchy is very "flat" giving people opportunity to collaborate with people from different areas of the business with different levels of seniority. As we are a rapidly growing company there's a constant feeling of change and progression within the offices, this has created a very unique culture. Combined with fantastic people and a set of genuine values this has created a workplace that most people really do enjoy - it's not for everyone, at times it can be tough but very rewarding. The hardest part of the job is managing the workload of an ever expanding business with the ambitions we have. The most enjoyable part is the people I work with, the hard work and dedication they show, the respect they share between each other, the values we all live by (which truly represent what we are at BiD), the unbelievable talent we have within the business spanning from the CEO (the determined and innovative person I've ever met) to the new recruits joining us early in their career with the passion and ambition to grow with the business.

Great business, great peopleIt’s a fast paced business with so much opportunity to make a different and develop your skills. You truly are a big fish in a small pond with lots of autonomy to make change. It’s fast paced, you need grit and resilience.
