Great workplace to learn
Project Manager (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 2 December 2023
Great workplace to initially build up career and experience working in different roles. Opportunity to complete training and certificates in different areas. Excellent social perks. Pay does not necessarily reflect promotions however.

Everything’s good but …
Software Engineer (Former Employee) - London - 16 November 2023

Good place
Vulnerability Analyst (Current Employee) - Bridgend, Bridgend - 10 November 2023
Good place, management can sometimes talk to you like a child, and the pay isn't great, but the benefits are. If you are landed with a good manager, you are good to go.

Great Place to Work
Configuration Analyst (Current Employee) - Bridgend, Bridgend - 9 November 2023
Great place to work. Facilities are great, management structure is set up well. Work can be hard at times, but you can also have more relaxing days. Moved on to other departments and the work life balance is great.

Insights into CGI
What people like
- Ability to learn new things
- Inclusive work environment
- Time and location flexibility
Areas for improvement
- Energising work tasks
- Sense of belonging
Unpleasant and money driven
Senior Engineer (Former Employee) - Bridgend - 24 October 2023
Despite their overtures about work/life balance and mental health, management mainly deals with timesheets, costs and meetings. I was silently promoted twice so ended doing the job of 3 people. They tried to hire more people but not hard - I was doing the job already so they seemed complacent. There was also a deep them and us culture between CGI and original staff who resented CGI employees which made work difficult. Other teams and other departments may well be fine but that was not my experience. I left because my health (emotional, mental and physical) was suffering.
Pros
Free parking
Cons
Car parks are too small so you are lucky to get a space

Very strick. Hard on metal halth
IT Service Desk Analyst (Former Employee) - Remote - 21 October 2023
Work from home. Don't let you progress, which they claim to do. Management are on your back about everything. Statistics are more important to them than customer service.

CGI really look after people, okay the pay may be lower than other organisations but a job is not always about money. The benefits are great and the culture is excellent

Clear vision but ultimately lacking in employee support
Software Engineer (Former Employee) - Birmingham, West Midlands - 22 September 2023
Overall at CGI, my experience has been limiting. While the company has interesting projects and a clear vision, their pathway for the employees is blurry. You often find yourself feeling excluded and lacking and there will be no managerial support to guide you through that. You may also be pushed onto any project just to get you up and running even if the location and role is not what you were hired for. However, the pay is great, the benefits are brilliant and the plans for the company are exciting.

Avoid poor pay no progress call centr
Technical Support Analyst (Current Employee) - Bridgend, Bridgend - 15 September 2023
Job is literally a call centre where you just answer for it fixes, constant calling from customers no progression and poor pay, just 1 person out of 400 people working

Awful place to work
Project Manager (Former Employee) - Remote - 13 September 2023
They will bring you in for one role and then within months move you to another role which involves long distance travel and you have no say in it. If you don't move you will be placed on a "bench" which means they let you go with no compensation. Avoid.
Pros
None
Cons
No job security

Good place to work
Consultant (Former Employee) - Corsham, Wiltshire - 31 July 2023

Great team and project, pay could be bette though.
Salesforce Consultant (Former Employee) - Home Based - 12 July 2023
Overall, a great place to work. If you have a great director you will be well taken care of and really be in control of your career. Being home-based can be very isolating and some projects don't meet up regularly which can get lonely. Some projects meet up a lot at the companies expense which can help to not only build relationships but make the overall experience more enjoyable.

Terrible workplace
Service Desk Technical Analyst (Former Employee) - United Kingdom - 9 July 2023
Terrible salary, terrible laptops for IT based work as they were so slow to load anything because it used to take 10 minutes to load the VPN and you’d be blamed for it not working but I’m not supplying the laptop! no progression, toxic managers, no communication or openness, the only decent thing is being to work from home.
Pros
Work from home
Cons
Everything

Not worth it
Service Desk Analyst (Current Employee) - Bridgend - 4 July 2023
Not a company I would recommend as if you end up on the wrong contract you will struggle. Management will treat you like a number and more concerned about stats

Senior management are vile
Fldclwmwma (Former Employee) - United Kingdom - 21 April 2023
Senior management treat you like you’re an inconvenience to them. One ops manager will do anything SHE can to stop you moving up into a new role (short + brown hair, glasses) She likes to speak to you like your nothing. Majority of management are seeing each other so very mean atmosphere. My team members have always been amazing people it’s a shame that get ruined by awful management. I enjoyed my time there due to the technical aspects, I was able to gain experience. However I would not recommend working there! AVOID
Pros
Sometimes can work from home
Cons
Ops manager is a top notch bully
