To an extent but don't expect management to listen if you need a day off months in advance for an appointment because they will give someone annual leave then sat you can't have the day off

Sick leave policy seems good, not really used by me and never heard any complaints. I don't think there are a specific number of days or periods of absence. There is usually a back to work interview to check your continued fitness. I would say sickness policy is more favourable than the public sector.
