Carer Assistant in Eltham, Greater London Worst company I've ever worked for
I applied for the job in the middle of May through Indeed and was accepted in an over-the-phone interview a week later. I went to their offices where I signed my contracts and they said they would contact me to set up shadowing.
A month went by and I heard nothing from the company by email or by phone. I ended up calling the HR department to voice my concerns and they said they would follow up my complaints. After another week went by without hearing anything I called again, in which I was transferred repeatedly to the complete wrong numbers. After two days of attempting to contact my branch I finally got the right number, in which they arranged for me to come down to their offices. After I travelled nearly ten miles to get there, they told me their manager wasn't in and told me to come back next week. I told them of my frustrations and after a long discussion they set up paid shadowing for me that day.
During the three day shadowing I realised I was completely undertrained to deal with the level of care being asked of me. The carer I was with was rude to me and his clients repeatedly. One of his worst traits was to put his headphones in whilst providing care in which, with a job so reliant on communication, was extremely unprofessional.
After the shadowing and submitting all the correct pay sheets and documents, I was not paid the next pay day. Again, I had to call them to see why this was and they apologized for this internal error, saying they would correct it and I would get paid in a fortnight. Meanwhile they said they could not provide me any work as they had none available (which begs the question of why they hired me in the first place).
When the next payday passed in a fortnight, I was still unpaid. Getting very angry at this point, I called accounts, HR and my branch repeatedly to make sure this didn't happen again (it should be noted not once did they apologise or take blame for this). After a full 2 days of talking, I finally got them to sort out pay, but they underpaid me by about 30%. Threatening to take this to the appropriate authorities, for the next week I pestered them until they allowed me to talk to the manager, where my correct pay was agreed.
Please do not work for this company, even in the times we are in where employment is hard to find. The high levels of stress with not getting work, not getting paid and the ridiculous hours are not worth it for the poor salary. Any other employment opportunities should be explored instead.

The worst care company in the whole of lewisham
The worst care company in the whole of Lewisham. The management is extremely poor and they do not train you properly then blame you when it goes wrong. you learn from other carers and they don't give you any travel time
