No support for new staff
Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Romford, Greater London - 3 February 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedNo help given to new staff. Management aren’t helpful and can be a bit like a bully but if they were paid more maybe that wouldn’t be as much of an issue.

Good Environment with a lot of support
Administrator (Current Employee) - Havering, Greater London - 8 November 2023
Ive worked at Care Support for a number of years now and they have always been there to offer me support when needed. They gave me the opportunity to progress within my role and allowed me to gain new insight and skills that i use daily. No two days are the same and its a new challenge every day but i know that with the help and support of my team we can get through anything. I cannot recommend Care Support enough. Operations and Compliance Team are always so supportive and even the directors are hands on and approachable.

Disappointed
Care Worker (Former Employee) - Romford - 16 August 2022
Working there was torture, the care place isn’t ran properly and most of the time it was not ran in the best interest of the client as management never had time for everyone

Very comprehensive work environment
Assistant Accountant (Former Employee) - London - 22 July 2022
Account lead (my line manager was very helpful from day 1 and supported my development. The operational director was very supportive as well. Even though I had some stress from the administrator, it was a very comprehensive work environment and I enjoyed the work there.

Awful
Care Assistant (Former Employee) - Paignton, Devon - 25 April 2022
Care support did nothing but run us as staff down whether on the floor or office. Awful pay, no support. Left us working with 2 staff through the pandemic whilst still gaining by not paying the other 6 staff that should have been there. Head office are rude and threatening if you call them out
Pros
They've left
Cons
Everything else

Avoid avoid avoid
Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Paignton - 17 November 2021
Disgusting company to work for. They provide zero support and cannot staff the care correctly. There is far to much pressure on the staff and the customers to comply with their ridiculous rules without the correct staff or training, the company has forced out an entire office team who actually did support us instead of offering help when they asked .I will be leaving as soon as I can or I feel it’s safe to do so.
Pros
The customers
Cons
The regional management

Awful place to work
Care Assistant/Support Worker (Current Employee) - Romford - 11 November 2021
The lower you rank the company does not care about you, weather you have family or not, the bosses can take paid holiday anytime of the year but as an employee you cannot and if you do it will be unpaid leave! No support system for their employees.. they just don't care about you, they over work you, they don't employ enough stuff, there is no support system for any of their worker with children... you will find yourself crying onthe phone neverthelessly a d they will still hav no solutions for you!!

Horrible company
Care Worker/Support Worker (Former Employee) - Essex - 26 July 2021
Terrible place to work. Management not supportive at all. They expected the earth and paid minimum wage. Constantly bullying you to work on days off. They had their favourites and everyone else was treated like dirt. Staff immature and unprofessional. If you have a loved one that needs care I'd avoid using this company at all costs. Residents lovely but not treated as well as they should have been.
Pros
None
Cons
Bad management. Unprofessional staff. Poor wages.

Ok for a gap filler
Scheme Manager (Former Employee) - Bedford, Bedfordshire - 18 January 2020
Main office is London if full of people that are only interested in making money. Staff below their level will never be appreciated as there greed will always come first. Also get spoken to like they are doing you a favour. Operations manager has no people skills and would do better working in a prison

Bad Experience
I had a bad experience with management who were not great at their job but the home was lovely. Staff could of done with more training and a fairer rota system for all

Awful working place
Former employee (Former Employee) - Claughton - 30 September 2019
Terrible place to work no one cares dump all jobs on you not enough staff to cover calls expect everyone to do everything and give nothing, they do not appreciate staff, big nobs have their favourites at a certain site and get rid of those that don’t say what they want them to when inspectors come. Carers are fine but it’s the bosses at the top that are relentless, non caring, no understanding, they just don’t care about anyone, they sack you for the least thing.
Pros
None at all
Cons
Everyone

Awful place to work
Support Worker (Former Employee) - Grays - 24 September 2019
Seniors don’t Care about the residents, too busy smoking and gossiping. No support to new starters, not many people stay longer than a month or 2. Bullying tactics used by seniors and other carers because they don’t like you reporting them when they give bad care or treat residents disgustingly. Basically like being back at school, awful place to work, not friendly! Be warned

Productive and supportive environment
Review and assessment officer (Current Employee) - Newham, Greater London - 17 June 2019
The last 8 months has been great working with care support. Such a shame that they had to close the home care section of business.I would love to have continued working for this company, however, the other section of business is too far for me to travel.
Pros
friendly staff to work with
Cons
too far

It was a good place to work or wouldnt of stayed for so long.
HCA/Support Worker (Former Employee) - Paignton - 15 April 2019
A good place to work, but the pay was low and hours long. We had lots of sickness which had to be covered and most of the girls were shattered. It went for about 3 years of a low turn over of staff, but that changed in the last few days.
Pros
Good staff. Good resturant.
Cons
Long hours.

The worst place I have ever worked
Carer (Former Employee) - Essex - 24 November 2018
Senior management treat care staff like dirt. People are fired constantly with no real chance to put their own sides forward. No support provided to new starters-few make it past a month or two. Bullying tactics regularly used by senior managers to either force staff into difficult situations, or force them to leave if they don't fit the personality they are looking for. no respect at all is shown to care staff who are the bread and butter of the organisation. When things go wrong and staff need help, there is no one to ask. Unrealistic workloads are set, and staff reprimanded like small children if they fail to reach these unrealistic targets. Much more like dealing with a clique in a high school than with an employer. Please, avoid at all costs. An awful place to work.
