Great place to work.

Activites Assistant (Current Employee) - Murryside care uk - 23 May 2023

Before starting I had been around activites in my last job an decided I would like to work around the residents forfilling some fun ,chatting an assistant in there daily routine .iv learned to move a resident from chair to wheelchair. assist in meals. Interact through activites .the staff are very welcoming.

Care Uk residential home is a bad work place due to the management, The pay is low for the amount of work you have to do, they expect you to clean the main kitchen after the chefs and at the same time look after the residents. They focus is more on how the uniforms are worn then how you preform your job role. They do not give support and enough training.

Rubbish management who don’t know what they are doing, unfair shifts (people using excuses not to do weekends/eves/Bank holidays throughout their whole employment. So others have to do every weekend and evening and BH). No appreciation for their staff whatsoever (esp in the hospitality department and with HCAs) A HCA or a cleaner could go above and beyond but they would get no appreciation. They push unnecessary amount of work on staff and basically management give you what they want out of the centre and make you try to implement it. Not enough staff stick around so the place is hugely understaffed and the staff are under horrible pressure. The best and most dedicated staff are treated like rubbish whereas the nasty staff members are rewarded and given praise despite receiving complaints. Greivence procedures and incident reports are just chucked away and not given any attention. I’ve heard of some staff handing in incident reports and getting told off for doing them! Avoid Care UK like the plague.

Fun work place

Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Sway, Hampshire - 25 September 2023

They are ok , provides staffs with lunch, gives you a listen ear. Equipped you with trainings. Some staffs are supportive while some are awful, generally there are good staffs and team leaders .
