Limited trajectory
Physiotherapist MSK Spinal (Former Employee) - Manchester - 10 July 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedWorking in MSK service was good, but continued professional development didn’t encourage company support. Changes of practice were dictated in such a way that didn’t offer options. It became a pain centromeres service and all employees were pushed into this even after job descriptions were focused in a different manner.
Pros
Annual leave, sick leave
Cons
Mandatory 12 h shift pattern, breaks not always honoured, double booking patients, low pay

Hard working staff and nurses.
Residential Care Worker (Current Employee) - Manchester - 1 June 2023
This company manages to go through a great many new members of staff. It's £1000 bonus on completion of training policy projects prospects, The reality however leaves a lot to be desired, long hours , poor pay rates and a some what toxic culture. The ground floor staff and nurses however are hard working and embrace looking after the residents in there care.
Pros
As of the above.
Cons
As of the above.

Never again
Registered Nurse (Current Employee) - Manchester, Greater Manchester - 22 October 2022
Extremely stressful work enviroment, constantly understaffed and under pressure. Over one year I did not receive all the training I was promised and they pay rate is not enough for what the staff do.

Toxic environment but satisfaction from helping residents
Care Assistant and Acitivites Coordinator (Current Employee) - Manchester - 27 August 2022
It’s a very toxic environment to work in however the few pleasures come from seeing the difference you make to people. Little resources so you constantly feel as though you’re not able to do your job properly
Pros
Positive difference
Cons
Long hours and bad conditions

Staff Nurse (Former Employee) - Manchester - 13 July 2022
Cheadle home is fairly good environment, can have its moments like most jobs. For me, has been rewarding to work there. I have felt support here though others stated they haven't.

Workplace bullying
Domestic and Laundry Assistant (Current Employee) - Manchester - 18 July 2021
Not a good company to work for, there is no management support when you have any problems. They ignore workplace bullying as long as your job gets done.

Disgusting company to work for
Team Leader (Former Employee) - Manchester - 8 January 2020
I gave nearly 7 years to this absolute disgrace of a company. Within this time I had a great team to work with and we supported each other as best we could. I made some great friends within my team, residents and families. However, the values this company present to lure people in are nothing short of complete BS! I took great pride in my role and doing my absolute best for my service users going in on my days off and undertaking all training offered to me. I became an easy scape goat and target for bullying from management and higher up. This company drained me of everything I had and offered no support when I asked for it. The residents are of no interest to this company and can be really poorly placed but as long as they’re bringing the money in that’s all that matters. No compassion or respect. I feel sorry for the residents and the people who still work there and it’s a shame how many of us had to go through such things before finding out what this company is really like! Avoid at all costs

Unorganised management, admin staff rude, and too many chiefs not enough Indians
Healthcare assistant (Former Employee) - Manchester, Greater Manchester - 27 May 2018
Hardly any staff! Frequently the only carer for the unit if not the only member of staff for the unit! Frequently don’t get paid for extra shifts even though it is an electronic fob clock in clock out system! Admin staff rude, intimidating, unprofessional and storm around slamming doors, shouting and pointing their finger at you when you enquire about your wage! Added for extra shifts without any knowledge, for it then to go on your record as unauthorised absence! Hardly any gloves or wipes to use on your shift, nets are hidden by day staff and like gold dust, if you find a pair it’s like you have won the lottery! Too many chiefs and not enough Indians! When your wage is short you can have it back alright but only 68% of it! Residents know why you have been off sick because staff gossip around them, nothing gets done or sorted just brushed under the carpet, two faced staff, nothing exciting for supper for the residents as they close the main kitchen at night time, no time to take your hour break throughout the night due to either working alone or too much paperwork... understaffed, underpaid.. the list is endless.. no decent cleaning products provided just an unpleasant spray which gets on your chest and throat and doesn’t take away the smell of urine or feaces! Your personal details such as telephone number and address will be pinned to the unit wall for any tom or dic to see which breaches data protection of employees personal information.. so so many things wrong here
Pros
Caring for residents who need assistance, meeting new people, being there for residents to chat to and any other needs
Cons
Working alone frequently, no nets hardly or gloves and wipes because they are hidden by other staff, two faced staff, underpaid, poor management, too many chiefs not enough Indians

Fun workplace
Bank Contact Centre Administrator/ Receptionist (Current Employee) - Manchester - 3 April 2016
As I started working at CareUk I work directly with patients ensuring the highest level of care is provided at all times during their visit to our mobile unit. I am responsible for arriving and booking patient appointments and advising of any preparation the patient might require for their next appointment. I liaise with consultants, nurses and the Alliance Medical staff on a daily basis to ensure all clinics run smoothly and that any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently. My duties include all aspects of administration including emails, word processing, faxing, ordering stationary, scanning, inputting patient experience questionnaires on an online programme, updating the spreadsheet everyday of our team's worklist, creating documents in Microsoft Excel, Word and Publisher and handling patient information professionally, calling secondary care/ hospitals to confirm if they have receive the right documents, calling patients over the phone to ensure they are aware of their appointment, disposing of documents correctly in accordance with information governance guild lines & data protection this also includes locking my computer when I am away from it.
During my employment with Care UK I have gained understanding of how MRI, CT, X-ray and Ultrasound scans work. I understand the implications of radiation with CT & X-rays and the impact this can have on an ill or pregnant patient. I know the importance of patients filling out safety questionnaires correctly and the complications this could cause if not correct for e.g. if the patient fails to mention they have -

Busy
Healthcare Assistant (Current Employee) - Manchester - 4 May 2014
A typical day at work ivolves mainly chaperoning Consultants during their clinics and setting up the clinic. I have learnt a variety of knowledge in various different subjects including, ENT, Gynaecology, Urology, MSK, General Surgery. I have learnt how to obtain blood samples and how to complete choose & book appointments. The management team are excellent and my co workers work as a team. The hardest part of the job is trying to complete my documentation sometimes in the very short time given for each consultation. The most enjoyable part is learning something new everyday.

Busy, Self Satisfying, Training Structure.
Receptionist/Administrator (Current Employee) - Manchester City Centre, ENG - 29 October 2013
A typical day working for a Private Health Care Provider
is extremely busy. Understanding procedures which can vary from day to day. Welcoming Patients arriving them for appts and also making further appointments, which are not always available leads you to developing new skills in appeasing
sometimes upset Patients. Scanning Documents, answering e-mails, liaising with professionals and now and again reminding them to raise orders. preparing letters etc., for Post and ensuring it is taken to the Post Office. Handover reports to colleagues who sometimes you will not see for a week. This Service works 7.30 a.m to 8.30 p.m 7 days a week and the staff work to a rota system.
Ensuring at the end of the day shredding is undertaken and no Patient information is left visible.
Pros
Free Car Parking
Cons
Long Hours and travelling to four sites across Manchester
