Terrible management from 2 different MDs that resulted in the company ceasing to trade, and redundancies. Lack of support, lack of process and generally incompetent

Kids are amazing and you can tell the resi workers really do care about their kids. Good salary with all meals included. Good training opportunities and advance opportunities. Loads of overtime available, often get calls or texts on days off but not overally pressured into the shifts. Managers can be really understanding and sympathetic
Pros
Good relationships with young people
Cons
Sickness levels

On arriving for duty we would have a staff handover an update on events in the last 24 hours. We would then plan our shift around school, appointments, meetings and activities.I would plan activities lunch and evening meal. We would also be required to maintain the house cleaning laundry and ironing. Our main priority was to care for the Y/P in our care. Together we would plan outings or trips to the cinema. Management where very supportive of the staff as at time my job could be very challenging. To run a harmonious house was to have a good relationship with my co-workers and management and constancy. Hardest part of the job was being kept up all night at times.. Making a difference is the most enjoyable part.
Pros
Free lunches and dinner.
Cons
Long hours..
