Reviews for Care Worker at Caremark Ltd
Best job i've had
Care and Support Worker (Current Employee) - Bangor, County Down - 29 November 2023
I've been with caremark nearly 3 years now and I can honestly say it's the best job i've ever had. I didn't know if I could do this sort of work but once you do your first couple of shifts, it's just another day at the office. I love that we get to know our clients really well and build strong relationships with them. Seeing their faces light up when you go in is so rewarding. The hardest part of this job is losing clients, which is sadly quite common in this line of work, but knowing you made a difference eases the pain slightly. A typical day varies, as you have many different clients with varying needs. Some calls may be a quick check in and cup of tea and others may need help with washing and dressing as well as mobility.
Pros
Flexibility with shift work
Cons
Getting time off during holiday seasons

Bad company
Care Support Worker (Former Employee) - Mansfield, Nottinghamshire - 1 November 2023
Worked since 2020 till 2023. Rota back to back No travel time or breaks Constantly phoning on days off. Call times cut short so can add more calls without contacting clients. Poor management has attitude. No support On call open till 22.30 Carers working till midnight which is unsafe. Walkers made to walk to calls which are not near each other. Not given a certain area and sent from one town to another just for one call. Field care supervisors not visiting clients regularly. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for work or for the care.
Pros
Great carers
Cons
No breaks no travel time no support

Caremark staff are actually super caring! But a few more incentives could come in handy
Care Support Worker (Current Employee) - Sutton, Greater London - 1 August 2023
A Team get together (biannually or annually maybe even a Christmas party or a summer get together) so we can mingle with fellow care assistants. Discounted or free Gym membership/wellness membership to encourage carers to stay healthy
