Quicks the word and Slow the Action!
Static Site Engineer (Current Employee) - West London, Greater London - 24 April 2021
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedEverybody thought somebody would do it but nobody did it. Too much passing the buck and not taking ownership of tasks to see it through. Big on HSE but in practice if it gets in the way of profit they turn a blind eye.
Pros
Secure employment
Cons
Inexperienced Management lack ability to team build

Worst place to work
Customer Support Advisor (Former Employee) - Nottingham - 27 May 2022
Absolutely shocking work culture. No respect for their employees or their welfare. Soulless company. They are more interested in statistics, number of calls taken etc. The managers have no training and a bad attitude.
Pros
Absolutely none
Cons

Insights into Carrier
Areas for improvement
- Overall satisfaction
- General feeling of work happiness
- Energising work tasks
Staff are seen as a number who aren’t respected enough to be told the truth.
Retention Advisor (Former Employee) - South Yorkshire - 2 August 2021
Started of as a great team however the company blame culture and lack of management support soon took it’s toll on the department. Senior Leadership team seemed clueless ; constantly changing goalposts and expectations, blaming every other area of the company but the one they were speaking to ( this blame would then shift by department) Staff are so loyal and either stay for years or leave within months and the turnover of staff is dreadful due to the way they are treated! So glad I got out and realised how the company runs you down over time.
Pros
Local office, great immediate teammates
Cons
Staff blame, staffing issues, company transparency, poor leadership

Boring
Employee Services Administrator (Former Employee) - Blackburn, Lancashire - 18 July 2020
Working with experienced professional colleagues has been a real joy, made the job enjoyable.
But the company back-room structure seems overly complex and lean and when a manager goes off the departmental management descends into chaos.
The job day-in day-out was boring and unvaried, clock in, same thing, clock out.
Pros
Salary, Colleagues
Cons
Management, Boring

SLD Paisley would not recommend
Work shop manager (Former Employee) - Paisley, Renfrewshire - 16 March 2020
From the MD right to opperations manager.... Shocking if you like been stabbed in the back treated like dog dirt... Then this is the place for you. I have never worked with a company who promote ethical values. And bully there staff treat them like dog dirt If you have any issues don't even bother reporting to HR because nothing will get done about it. Selling plant out the back door lining there own pockts

Nice place to work, when you have something todo
Refrigeration Service Engineer (Current Employee) - South Wales and South West England - 9 March 2020
Have enjoyed the last 5 1/2 years, although now I think its time to move on as contracts have been lost and nothing coming in. No overtime and being sat around when on call can get boring

Very busy environment
Operations Administrator (Former Employee) - Leatherhead, Surrey - 3 October 2019
Very busy fast paced office environment, quick logical thought process required.
Full day starting around 8 am until 5.30 (not the contracted hours), generally lunch was not taken.
As my last post was very reactive, each day was always different in the type of tasks that arose, some very challenging for example arranging to re-schedule engineers to meet customer KPI's and still ensure all parties were happy with the outcome of any decisions taken.
Processed all handover orders from the quotations department, ordering parts for remedial works, scheduling in with clients and engineers for works to commence, filling in site permits if required.
This company was an enjoyable one to work for with excellent personnel.

Service Manager needs training
Financial Co-ordinator (Former Employee) - Oxford, Oxfordshire - 29 August 2018
Training is not to a high standard no consistency, procedures changing on a daily basis. Manager has no managerial skills nor HR or H & S training. Staff turn over very high mainly due to the above. Very rude and unprofessional.

Not what I had hoped for
Engineer (Current Employee) - UK - 14 May 2017
Poor organisation spoils what with some re-organisation could be good. Frustrating internal fighting and politics can be tiresome. The expansion of the workload to include other manufacturers and non-chiller work may not be for all.

Leading luxury tour-operator
Head of Marketing (Former Employee) - Cheadle, Cheshire - 7 March 2017
Carrier is renowned for its high standards, the exceptional knowledge of its staff and distinctive marketing. It is a trusted brand for HNW individuals 'in the know'.
Carrier is an extremely busy place to work and is lean given the extraordinary personalised service levels it has to deliver. I have had autonomy over the brand and marketing communications for over five years and it has been hugely enjoyable upholding and advancing this in an extremely cluttered, competitive market.
