Driver/Labourer (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 18 September 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by Indeedfor an agency they do keep you working and pay on time. weekly pay and wage slips are emailed to you. just don’t get paid for bank holidays unless you have holidays built up to take.

The work culture is very poor. They do not support the idea of having a diverse team.
Risk and Resilience Practitioner (Former Employee) - London Merton - 25 October 2023
A horrible place to work. Service managers do not know what they’re doing and often single POC out. Managers are micro aggressive and unprofessional.

Started really well and enjoyable, albeit hard work with challenging pupils.
Teacher (Former Employee) - Great Yarmouth - 29 April 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Terrible management with very little experience of working in schools, never mind working with children with challenging behaviour What is the most stressful part about working at the company? A culture of bullying from SLT What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Weak leadership that control through bullying as there is a lack of experience of leadership throughout

Great place. Very friendly. The pay needs massive improvement! It is mostly contract jobs for 2 years but after that risk of redundancy. Not the greatest.

A great company to work for
Team Leader - Justice (Former Employee) - Dorset - 9 March 2023
I enjoyed my time at Catch 22 and was hugely impressed with the consistent training available, the support from Directors and team members nationwide. My team were fantastic and we're not only supportive of the people they were employed to support, but we're also hugely supportive of one another, other regions, and me as their Team Leader.
Pros
Great directors, fantastic supportive staff in all regions, great training.
Cons
A requirement for better support from Senior Managers, better pay required for practitioners.

Insights into Catch22
What people like

- Clear sense of purpose
Supportive and great place to work
Counsellor (Former Employee) - Wandsworth, Greater London - 7 March 2023
Loved working here and I really felt supported. Some schools were difficult to work in (especially if they’re not aware how counselling works) Schools refer the naughty kids even though they didn’t want therapy or you would expect to walk around the school to pick clients up which is obviously breaking confidentiality. Catch 22 we’re supportive and would speak to the school

Rewarding job in terms of working with service users.
Case Manager (Current Employee) - North West - 11 February 2023
Colleagues are really nice people who are passionate about the work we do. Out of touch upper management. Money wasted on irrelevant training, constant issues with expenses dept leaving you out of pocket.

Overall fun
Team Leader (Former Employee) - Hereford - 19 January 2023
Was a fun experience, but more of a reflection on the NCS course rather than Catch 22. I'd recommend working on the NCS course, not necessarily Catch22 as a whole.

Good team but better support needed from management.
Employment Advisor (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 13 December 2022
Good company to work for and I had a great team however, management is not structured well, it wasn’t on my programme anyways. Nevertheless, liked working here but would be great if more support could be provided.

Too many restrictions
NCS Team Leader (Former Employee) - Maidstone - 16 May 2022
In order to engage properly and efficiently with young people you need to be able to have difficult conversations honestly and openly and that sometimes means putting down your own personal experience. Catch22 encourage you to literally lie to young people. With other organisations I've got to talk openly and honestly with service users and this is the best way to engage someone. Catch22 are all about their own policies and won't change them for the benefit of their own service users. Bad organisation. Avoid employment.
