Best company I've ever worked for
Dental Nurse (Former Employee) - Pembrokeshire - 20 September 2023
Amazing company to work for, gutted I won't be returning after my maternity leave finishes (due to child's health). Pay is excellent, work-life balance is excellent, incentives are excellent and I had the most wonderful, supportive manager. Travelling around the County also has its perks - no day is ever the same. Cavity is a company who care about their staff - not just the numbers!
Pros
Excellent pay, supportive manager
Cons
Hours can be long but you are paid well for it

Just another dental agency
Locum Dental Nurse (Former Employee) - South London, Greater London - 3 April 2023
I was promised steady work and professionalism, however, in the last year alone I have had 17 days that I had given my availability to them but did not receive jobs. That is a lot of money lost. And on those days you have to be on standby, ready to answer the phone, no you cannot work for anybody else. They are very professional in the way that they are very careful with legislation and the paperwork, but more to keep themselves safe. They have forwarded my private message to them when they queried me, to one of the practices without even asking me. The practice got their answers and it was all just a missunderstanding in the end, however, it is lucky I keep all my messages professional. My main dissapointment is missing out on work, lots of their nurses complain they are on standby many days of the month. Yes I have met quite a few in practice. They will try and give your confirmed close to home job to another nurse who doesn't want to commute just so that they get maximum bookings. Who wants that?

Locum Dental Nurse (Current Employee) - Rotherham - 10 January 2023
Since becoming a locum nurse it’s like a weight lifted off of my shoulders I have no stress like I did in practice. The management is nice and helpful although you do get a few stand by days which you don’t get paid for but that’s what happens when you’re a locum dental nurse

Amazing experience
Agency Dental Nurse (Current Employee) - Hampshire - 6 January 2023
A great big thank you to this wonderful company. Since joining nearly 2 years ago I have grown in more ways than I count. I have been nursing in pretty much every speciality, grown my skills all round, met wonderful people and worked in dozens of practices. This experience has been invaluable for me as I embarked on my next adventure of studying dentistry. Everyone at Cavity is so supportive, hardworking and easy to chat to. Even though you aren’t face to face daily with your team, you are always in touch and never feel alone. You can drop a line to anyone in the company, even the big boss, and you are guaranteed to get a nice and quick reply. Thank you for a unique experience Cavity and I cannot wait to see where the next years will take you, although I’m sure it will be amazing!
Pros
Great management, supportiveness, wellness days, good pay, flexibility, diverse experience

Dental Nurse (Current Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear - 25 October 2020
Working for Cavity is both educational, engaging and also challenging. Everyday is an adventure and on occasions one works with work colleagues old and new. One gains much satisfaction where a demanding situation ends on a positive note. I feel as if i am well looked after by the company and part of one large happy family

I love working for Cavity
Dental Nurse (Current Employee) - North East - 22 October 2020
I have worked for Cavity for 18 months now and I love the work life balance, the good wage and flexibility. I enjoy going to different practices, meeting new people and learning new ways to work. Cavity have been tremendous during the pandemic offering furlough pay and Just generally being there throughout. I feel fully supported by management and confident they will do anything in their power to help if needs be. Dental nurses do not get paid enough for working in practices however this position offers us the wage we work hard for and duly deserve. I was dubious to start as a locum; I can honestly say now that I’ll never look back. :)
Pros
Good wage and work life balance.
Cons

Caring and appreciating
Dental Nurse (Current Employee) - West Yorkshire - 22 October 2020
I have been with Cavity since 2017. They are fair, work around your personal needs, and have a friendly vibe about the way they work. Very approachable. I would never return to working in one place. I love every practice cavity are in support of and am very happy to be sent out to work when a job comes in. They have an app that documents everything, sickness, bookings, holidays, news updates. Their communication is spot on.
Pros
High wage for dental nurses, expenses paid.
Cons
No complaints at all.

Lovely experience
Dental Nurse (Current Employee) - South West London, Greater London - 22 October 2020
I've been working with Cavity for almost 5 months now and I love it. Temp nursing is not for everyone but I would totally recommend giving it a try with Cavity. Everyone from head office to compliance and area managers are always there if you need them. I feel happy, safe and supported. I get to learn new things almost everyday, working with different clinicians and in different environments is really interesting and helps you become a better nurse. I'm in control of my time, salary and benefits are excellents. Highly recommended!
Pros
Salary - flexibility - variety
Cons

Best agency to work for
Dental Nurse (Current Employee) - Harrow, Greater London - 22 October 2020
I cannot describe how good Cavity have been to me. My initial interview was done in a cafe so it was very casual and not stressful at all for me. I had been off work for over a year and to get back into nursing was very daunting for me. My area manager Nicola was accompanied by Siobhan who was to take over her role and they were both incredibly chilled and kind to me- very understanding to my situation. They made sure I had completed all the tasks and paperwork that I hadn’t done before I joined the company. My first day on a job was so easy because Siobhan picked me up and she shadowed me throughout the day. Since we were all able to get back to work after the lockdown, my weeks have been booked up and all the places I’ve worked at have been fantastic to me - I’ve been called to a few practices more than once. If I’m not comfortable at a practice all I have to do is let my area manager know and I won’t be asked to do them again. If I’m not confident in ortho or implant, for example, my area manager will make a note of that and I won’t be expected or called to do a job of that kind. Of course some times a practice will cancel a job so that will leave me on standby for the day, (I will get called to do a job on the day) if you don’t want to be on standby you can always let your area manager know so you’ll be for pre booked work only. As far as I’m concerned, my area manager has been nothing but supportive to my needs, pay is great, Sharon - our company director is so kind and lovely (those who joined cavity after Jan and weren’t furloughed got some cash given from her pocket.. -
Pros
All of the above
Cons
If you don’t like being happy, this isn’t for you.

The variation has made me a better nurse
Dental Nurse (Current Employee) - Buckinghamshire - 22 October 2020
I've been working at Cavity Dental Staff for 7years and love it. I can't see me settling down at a normal practice. It has given me so many opportunities of working in NHS, Private, Ortho, Endo, Perio, Hospitals, Community and Prisons. It's been amazing meeting different people along the way and after nursing 17years i still feel like i'm learning everyday from the practices and staff that i work with.
