Worked for cds at Huntingdon depot just after Christmas for couple of months. Start the day off with coming into the site to collect a route but then go out on own for the day. I really enjoyed this job and always got 6 days a week yes it’s a busy job which some customer don’t realise how much drivers do.Manager and delivers are a good laugh it’s nice to start the day with a laugh! But if you are fit and healthy definitely go for it!Money is good and pay is always correct!
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Sometimes long day

I joined CDSG Last year when I left Deliverwize in the Midlands. I decided to work from Luton But on receiving my van I was told that Luton was a bit too far and was transferred to Coalville. I worked from that depot for a few months until an opportunity to help at the Exeter Depot this intern turned into a move to Devon and part of a great team. I was really looked after by CDS and have become in the six months I’ve been there A possible candidate for management in new depots. The management are very understanding and accommodating as much as they can and very sympathetic if needed. I would definitely say to anyone in the Exeter area that CDS are the best paid & the best looked after drivers in Devon.
Pros
Paid weekly van provided flexible days
Cons
Can be long routes and days but part of the job

CDS on a whole Is a great company to work for, They are very helpful and go above and beyond to help you; and try to help increase your earning potential too....They helped me obtain my own van and saved me lots of money in the long run by not renting one, They are very flexible on how many hours you work and leave you in control, the team of drivers I work with are great and really feel like part of a close knit team. From my initial application, right through the training and getting on the road, I had amazing help from their management team and felt well informed throughout the entire process! Can honestly say I couldn't have picked a better company to work for.

I don’t even know where to start, all I can say if PLEASE PLEASE LOOK FOR ANOTHER COMPANY TO WORK FOR. They just don’t even appreciate the amount of work you do for them. You try to speak to them all you’ll get is yeah we will sort it out and guess what nothing gets done and when you decide to leave you’ll not get your pay for the last weeks you worked. You’ll get all the excuses under the sun just so you don’t get the wages. So my advice to anyone thinking of joining is DO NOT JOIN or you’ll regret it and be like me and the other folk that joined thinking it’s going to be as good as they made it to be 😡
Pros
Don’t join
Cons
Do not join, Worst company ever

Disgusting company to work for. Management couldn't care less about you.Treated worse than vermin.Mental health will seriously go down hill and nothing will be done to support you.And to top it all off, they will withhold payments when you decide enough is enough, and tell you that its for damages to the van even though excess is paid when you start the job
Pros
Nothing
Cons
hours, payments withheld, threats, lies

Worked there for 2 months. At the interview you were told what you will earn but is totally different when you get your wage slip. The managers promise you extra money for helping other drivers but they don't have the authority to do this so the company don't pay you. They say there is a £10 personal incentive to be earnt daily but I never got 1 even though I was out there and cleared all my parcels daily. You go out with 180+ stops and don't get home till about 9 30-10.00 at night as you're not loading till about 10.30am. You are lied to constantly by the manager and if you ring head office the girls just put the phone down on you. I enjoyed the job but when you're not getting paid right it's not fair. They owed me quite a bit of money in the end and the day rate had dropped by 33% from pre Christmas so I had to cut my losses and leave. Personally I would advise to give this company a very wide berth.
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours and after expenses you are on below minimum wage.

Start time was always changing. Often hanging around waiting to get loaded up. Van always full to the brim. On the road until van empty. Had to take left over parcels back to depot before going home, even at 10pm and if miles out of way. Pay worked out at minimum wage after van rental taken out. Lots of work running up to Christmas and then nothing in New Year. Told that it was legal requirement to take breaks on road but no time to take them. Had to use own phone for app. AVOID!!!
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, minimum wage, no job security, no holiday pay, no sick pay, have to use own phone and rent or buy own van.

This company have rules of their own, not from Amazon, like they will first employ a lot of people then if any drivers get concessions from customers, they will drop that driver from work for a day or two and sometimes more depending on the concessions, remember concessions are not in the drivers hands, they just come anytime
Pros
The Pros are the cons below that you will read
Cons
Don't bother, get yourself a job at DPD, Dhl, Royal Mail, FedEx, UPS and list goes on

i have worked for several companies at the norwich depot and this is without doubt the worst company i have worked for. I was working for well over two months before they informed me that i needed liability insurance for the van i was renting from them.....i have always rented the vans fromnthe companies and no other company did this, only van owners need thier own liability insurance. They will also charge you a deposit for the van you rent which is around 1700 quid. Again i did not need to pay any deposit with other companies. The management is useless, will deduct pay if you need help with your route, again some other companies don't do this. They will also threaten to not pay you for various reasons and call it "motivation" do not work for cds. Most other companies are far better.
Pros
Some routes can be enjoyable
Cons
everything else

I have worked with the company for two years and so far, I have really enjoyed my time here! The job can be busy and challenging but having a good close knit team, we always manage to pull together. I like that management are open to new ideas and it is not a micro-managed enviroment. There is lots of opportunities in the business and the company is constantly growing. For me, the job is flexible and can work around my life.
Pros
Fun team building days
Cons
Busy

Been here 4 months so far working out of the Coalville Depot in Leicestershire, Enjoyed working over this period mainly due to the weather and relative easiness of the Job.Days can sometimes be long, but your pay doesn't differ on the days when you finish early so it all evens out, Rarely hear from my manager, unless theres a problem which i prefer. If you enjoy driving and being left to your own devices to do your job then its ideal. Money is good, hours flexible, only downside is no holiday pay, but this applies to all S.E people. Intention was to keep Job as a stop Gap between being furloughed, however, im earning more than previous place, and prefer this line of work. Van hire is expensive, but many i have spoken to have all bought their own and earn alot more, this will be my next step in the new year. Would Recommend this Company and Job Role to all. Unexpectedly Happy with this Job
Pros
I Love driving
Cons
No Holiday or sickness pay
