Very rewarding role

Staff Nurse (Former Employee) - London - 18 January 2018

This role involved working in General Intensive Care. looking after 1 or 2 patients a shift. I learnt a lot about intensive care and I was funded to take a course in Intensive care nursing. It was extremely interesting work. The role required nurses to be able to concentrate for long hours on a second by second basis in order to keep patients safe and well. Nursing here required close observation and monitoring of the patient, and their supporting equipment and assisting patients with their nursing requirements. The work was very mentally and physically tiring , but very rewarding.

very good place to work, staff very supportive. team leader was effective in leading her team and was very good mentor. best part of the job was to work with orthopaedic patients.
