Good place, easy access, pleasant hospital , good organisation
to many long hours not enough gaps in between shifts which makes it hard to balance family life which can be frustrating at times. good salary though which is ok
Pros
long breaks
Cons
long hours
Lots of opportunity for movement within hospital with plenty of different specialties. Flexible hours and always bank shifts going. Work culture varies greatly between different departments.
Pros
NHS benefits
Cons
NHS pay
I have worked at this trust for over 5 years now. Obviously being an NHS trust, pay is low, and work hours are long, but the hospital has great facilities, job security, and quality staff.
Ho imparato ad essere un infermiera completa ed efficiente.
Pros
Training
Cons
Nessuno
Few dental nurses have access to hospital job.
Most of us dream about it.I remember the day I got the acceptation letter.I was so excited.
It is a very demanding job physically and emotionaly were they expect you to be on top of your toes from 8am to 6pm with a lunch break of 30'
At least we have a free day during the week.
The pay is good and there is an increase every year which is not the case in a dental practice.
I manage to have unpaid leave twice during the 3yrs and I'm grateful for that.
Working with highly qualified people and seeing cases which are very rare in a dental practice is such an unusual experience that you feel honored to be part of it.
Lastly, from the beginning you will either like it or feel that is not for you.The choice is yours
Pros
one free day during the week
Cons
Long hours
Good work place.
As we all know there are some great benefits in working for the NHS. These include unrivalled holiday entitlements, a great pension scheme and other benefits including opportunities to get support to buy housing. As well, we have a range of local benefits that our staff enjoy which include discounts, a staff recognition scheme and accommodation, which you can read more about in this leaflet.
Pros
Beneficios de saúde, refeição e perto de casa
Cons
Muitas vezes tinha de fazer horas extra
Very hard working for the nhs and the pay structure is poor.Co-workers were very different some good and bad.No matter what you did it was never enough for them and their targets required. The hardest part was booking in the samples as there are so many to do and as people required their tests you had to be reliable. The most enjoyable part was going home
