What is the best part of working at the company?There is nothing good except its a jobWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company?Everything. Old tools that don't work well enough for the job in hand. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?It's like being at school. Managers have there favourites and treat them better What is a typical day like for you at the company?Early starts, having to find tools that work properly. Blamed for anything that goes wrong. Monitored by cameras in van. Managers sit and watch trackers to catch you out.

Worse place to work

Worse place to work chequers, staff treated me unfairly, making me travel to work when they couldn't find the keys to the van and not reimbursing me. Poor management swearing at me and blaming me for their problems.

Low morale and unsupportive higher management

Chequers was a prospecting place for me to work with a promotion coming over. Unfortunately after about a week I’d figured the staff had no respect for management, middle management were looked down upon from higher management and not supported. Staff work what hours they please with no help to discipline this as the worry was that they couldn’t recruit. Very poor support and big brother work environment overall.

Good place to work

If you're looking for flexible working hours that's the place. The manager was respectful and polite at all the time. The coworkers were very funny and positive.

Pay and management is a joke

You do a lot of contracts and get paid absolute rubbish, they don’t offer hybrid working so it’s definitely not a work life balance this job is for anyone under the age of 25 as that’s what the office wants

Awful place to work, vans fulling apart tools are no good have to wait ages to get new tools!! Higher management at head office needs to do there jobs properly over worked and under paid

The work place can be improved

Well from the start I enjoyed working there but now I don't so iam looking for better work, and a new challenge especially when they pay every two weeks like being paid every week.

Pros

No free lunches some of my colleagues, don't like having lunch they are always in a rush to get the jobs down

They don't give time to really do the jobs properly.

Talk the talk, but can’t walk

No structure.Lengthy processes.High pressure.Staff with little or no industry skill set. Long hours.Poor equipment.Outdated fleet. There’s so much wrong, I think they need to bring in a consultant to help implement industry standards.

Appalling culture to employee health and safety

I was only employed with this firm for a short time but left of my own accord after witnessing their appallinig approch to eamployee health and safety. Poorly managed and poorly run company wouldnt be suprised if HSE didnt knock on their door!

Aweful

Aweful firm and that's what I'd call this outfit a firm . The company treat you like sheep , cameras in vehicle eyballing you all the time . Management treat you with little respect- no premium for working bank holidays . Probably the worse place I've ever worked .

Worst company I have ever worked for, Management are the worst, don’t want to listen to anything employees have to say. A great deal of bullying goes for management and employees, don’t work for this company

Rubbish

Rubbish and it’s a waste of time and energy. Management is appalling and have no respect for their employees. Lots of favouritism within the company, even if you work to the best of your ability, it’s not good enough.

Overall, I had a great time working there.

While working for this company I met many different people who worked in different sectors of the company. This included not only Painters and Decorators but also the cleaning staff. Unfortunately, I was unable to meet the owner as he was on holiday for the short time I was there. Whilst I was there I learnt how to decorate multiple houses in different ways in order to save time but decorate at a high standard.

Bussy days, but confortables. I've been learned everything about cleaning industry and efficient management human resources. They were be happy under my Supervision. The emergencies situations. Lunch time.
