If your looking for a job that will not let you have a life want you in everyday every weekend 12on 2 off no exceptions dosnt matter if you have your kids on a weekend chevron comes before everything. Promote mental health. But don’t follow it up just send you out on the road bcoz the jobs more important than your mental health

Pros

Top top lads who have your back

Cons

Management/ hours they want you working

Amazing place to work

Chevron is a great place to work. The people are friendly, the management are supportive and there is an overwhelming sense of 'Team'The most enjoyable part of my job is knowing that Chevron are the most forward thinking, innovative traffic management company in the business and that employees wellbeing and safety really do come first.I'm very proud to say that I work here.

Night shift

This job is pretty amazing, however if you have a young family be prepared to make your work/life balance work. It is a fast paced, high stress, demanding job but for a few hours work it’s worth it

Great at first

Chevron changes when new management got introduced and new depots started opening. Now a miserable and sad company to work for. Bit of more than they can chew.

Long hours no social life

Sign out of EU maximum hours and there for have a maximum shift pattern of 12 on 2 off which is around 288 hours, but only actually contract to provide you with 4 shifts a week. No stability as your never in the same crew, on the same job or vehicles, No one wants to help each other out, most people will literally sit behind you in the yard blocked in watching you unload your vehicle instead of giving you a hand to get you out quicker. I could go on...

Pros

As much overtime as you want if your in to that

Cons

Long hours on nights, hardly get social time

Could be better

Other companies we work with the people doing the same job are on a much better rate of pay, lack of opportunities, lads that work away during the week expect to get easy jobs on Fridays so they can get home early for the weekend so the local boys get stitched up even thou they are on £400 more

Pros

Job and knock

Cons

Favouritism and lack of opportunities, and wages not at good as other company’s

Too short staffed

I currently work 12 hour shifts, 5 nights a week for Chevron. They are so short on staff that they are trying to make me work 6 nights per week, which will cause me to have no work/life balance. The job is very physical and unsociable but the team of men are a good laugh.

Pros

My peers

Cons

The hours

traffic management

Providing complete traffic management solutions nationally. This is involves driving the van to the job with other colleagues, unloading the van and putting out the correct equipment for the job making sure it is safe for all drivers and the correct signs are put out. Each job is on a timescale so making sure each job is done efficiently, correctly and on time is a massive aim for the company.
