Stressful
Staff (Current Employee) - Rectory Court - 17 November 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedCarers are totally involved in makin and serving breakfast; setting tables and washing dishes while assisting people with personal care and their daily routine at the same time. The shortage of staff puts massive pressure on support workers. Very little understanding and leadership from a manager. If people enjoy working under terrible pressure , Rectory Court is a perfect work place.
Pros
Paid breaks
Cons
Stress and pressure

Fun but busy place to work
Health Care Assistant (HCA) (Current Employee) - Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex - 17 November 2023
I love the residents, 99% of them are lovely and warm to work with. I enjoy working with my colleagues. Management has an open door policy which he a plus for me as I can freely talk to them if something is not going well. It's however very busy and exhaustion is part of the game.
Pros
Healthy work environment
Cons
Long hours, less money

Low paid, no enhancements for weekends work or bank holidays.
Team Leader (Current Employee) - Southampton - 17 October 2023
You are expected to do your job and others as there are staff who just want to sit and chat with each other , it's hard work and the residents that are there the staff are not trained in their conditions and don't no what they are doing , there is a lot of diversity in culture there and residents are not happy with that care that is being given , cinnamon do sponsorship and many of the carers do not have English as their first language and that's even harder for the residents to comprehend,
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Long shifts no money in it

Ok
Senior Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Hagley - 17 October 2023
Moneys ok. The higher you go up the ladder the more entitled they become. Head housekeeper especially. Sits there with her dog doing nothing but tells everyone else to do her job and keeps getting away with it. If you want to feel less than come work at the gables

Disappointed
Administrator Human Resources (Current Employee) - Dorset - 15 September 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Uniform and free drinks also you get a small lunch What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Some people are not suited to management rolls as they aren’t able to communicate in a kind and respectful way , came across as a bully What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Surrounded by beautiful furnishings but very little goes into achieving a stimulating day for residents, a sad theme for our elderly generation with money What is a typical day like for you at the company? Greeting in reception area taking calls helping with any administrative tasks

Avoid
Care Assistant (Former Employee) - Bexhill, East Sussex - 24 February 2023
As a new card assistant with no experience my first day was very hard, senior staff picked on me and bullied me out of leaving the job on my second day. I didn’t feel listened to by management and I left in tears due to the nasty comments by senior care staff. Not a friendly place to work, especially as a new care assistant beginning training.
Pros
Beautiful home, nice food
Cons
Staff are not friendly or welcoming

Would not recommend at all!
Trainee Chef (Former Employee) - Ferndown, Dorset - 21 November 2022
Cinnamon Care Ferndown has to be up there with some of the worst rated and awful care industries. Pay was very good but besides that, I would rather work with genuine people over money and everyone there are brain de*d

Only work here if you have no self worth
Housekeeping Assistant (Former Employee) - Mornington Court - 4 November 2022
I did love working for this company initially for the first few months, a lot of the staff were actually amazing to work with but things started to go down hill when I needed time off for important health reasons and communication with management was generally awful. My happiness at loving my job eventually dwindled and I walked away as my mental health had taken a massive nosedive.
Pros
Most Staff are genuinely lovely and there are a few perks
Cons
Management aren't as supportive as they say they are

Brilliant company to work for!
Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Stourbridge, West Midlands - 13 October 2022
I recently got employed by Cinnamon, and have since chosen to move to their newly built home. The support I have received throughout the transition has been amazing. I truly feel valued as a person and I can honestly say I've never been looked after by an employer the way I have working for Cinnamon. The working environment, although you'd think is high demanding and stressful one, never feels that way because the staff are all so lovley, supportive and everyone helps where needed. We get paid for our breaks and have a hot lunch everyday on a long day. We are also paid above minimum wage with the possibility of progression and NVQs available to all staff. I came back to the care industry after years of feeling stuck in a dead end job, I've got a new zest for life being able to come to work and love what I do everyday.

The company its self was OK more
Chef (Former Employee) - Bexhill, East Sussex - 4 July 2022
Dreadful management. You can bend over backwards for them they pretend to understand where your coming from but don't really care, you ask for help but they just use it against you and come into work on there days off to try and catch you out. They have had way to many people leave in the space off 2 years since opened. They probably clame its the workers but it was the management, I guess they just have to employ people that will put up with there rubbish promises and snide ways. If you speak truth they will get out you out and hide the truth when CQC comes around.
Pros
3 days off and good pay
Cons
Forget what you did to help them, poorly managed

Great company to work for
Admin Assistant/Receptionist (Current Employee) - Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex - 21 June 2022
Cinnamon care is a great company to work for, you receive many benefits including gift vouchers, paid breaks, uniforms, Spice of Life where you can receive discounts in shops & restaurants etc, cycle to work scheme, health assured contact for free counselling and advise and more. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, management always get involved and help out when needed, you get all the support you need when you first start, you do have a lot of training to complete when you first start however team members are always on hand if you are struggling and you are paid for any training that you complete from home. I have never worked for a company where I am so appreciated for the work I do. They celebrate national thank you days such as carer days and receptionist days, at the end of my shift I am always thanked for the work I have done. I can always ask for help if I am struggling with anything and there are opportunities to progress within the company. Every day is different, and some days can be stressful but as a team we work through this and help each other out. All the residents are lovely and take in interest in the staff and their lives outside of work which is lovely as it makes it feel like you are part of one big family. Highly recommend this company for job satisfaction and appreciation.
