brainwashing scam
Sales Distributor (Former Employee) - Waterloo, Greater London - 5 March 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by Indeedsalesperson in marketing, 100% commission and high earning progression. sounds good right? no. they brainwash everyone to perform at 110% into getting their own office when they just work harder so managers get more money, it’s door to door sales in every weather with no travel or lunch reimbursed whether is storm eunice or a heatwave, 6 days a week 12 hours a day. avoid for your own good. the people are very nice there tho but you just don’t get the money
Pros
the title you can tell everyone that you’re a business person in marketing wear a fancy suit/dress
Cons
long hours spend more money than you earn scam brainwashing not enough money per sale

A tottally scam
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 3 February 2022
This are totally time wasters. The role is solemnly based on a door to door sales . They wont pay you for you expenses (commute , lunch ) and your time .. this is base on sales , so you get money for every sales you make. Most of the sales profit goes to managements and a less than a 30% goes for you (whom actually made the sale ). You will literally end up expending more than what you make in this job. Beside that, the culture is very manipulative , they will feed you with ideas of becoming a manager and have your own branch if only you work "hard enough" and if you don't meet your sales target , you are "lazy" and not "working hard" .
Pros
Learning experience of how a company DO NOT LOOK LIKE.
Cons
UNREALISTIC COMPANY . They don't have boundaries, I literally got texts messages from my manager at 2 am on a Sunday.

Insights into Citi & Co
Areas for improvement
- General feeling of work happiness
- Fair pay for job
- Ability to meet personal goals
Extremely unethical and unfair
Sales and Marketing Manager (Former Employee) - Birmingham - 15 November 2021
It is a direct sales and marketing company in which you do door to door sales based on 100% commission, majority of people are making less than £100 a week and working every day with hours consisting of 6am to 8pm and most days not making a single penny. Including weekends too. You have to pay for everything yourself (that’s why they claim you are self employed so they don’t need to pay for you) and they will overwork/manipulate you until you break. I don’t recommend ever working in direct sales and marketing
Pros
Team culture was fun

Time Wasting
Marketing Intern (Former Employee) - Angel Station - 31 December 2020
So, I started working during the first lockdown period and was employed by a very nice lady. The job felt very formal and almost corporate in the beginning, but once I got into the meetings and everything, it was very much the opposite. The team is in no doubt highly optimistic in that they try to sugar coat the fact that you don't get a base salary AT ALL and everything is dependent on whether you make a sale or not. They promise you wonders, sell you dreams of 'becoming a manager within a year' and running your own 'office' within a year. When actually that 'office' if you make it there is a tiny box room. There is a lot of ego within this bunch and its funny how they act as though they have standards, yet employ people who 1) don't speak English properly 2) very unintersted 3) basically everything that goes against their candidate requirements. It goes to show the rate in which people are leaving and the rate in which they need to employ people to generate profits. If anything this has been the best job and experience in teaching me how not to fall for sales jobs which exploit you. If anyone is excited by this job, please think again! Best
Pros
Everyone is highly Optimistic
Cons
The company will exploit you - they never have straight answers

100% Comission Based & Impossible
Marketing Assistant (Former Employee) - London - 15 November 2020
You will have no life as hours are not optional as advertised. Self-employed but bossed around and not paid anything and expected to meet minimum targets with no rewards for doing so. Management keep half of the profits. Too much work for what you get back. Stupid hours and stupid commutes.
Pros
Nice people
