Rates of pay
are nothing like told at application stage, very little work available and when you get it, you work for less than minimum wage. No communication as to work availability

I've worked at worse places
I worked at Birmingham branch for a couple of years and in that time I did ok for myself, I was lucky to get on one of the regular contracts which kept me fairly busy, without it I had to scrap with others for what was available, the controller's do a fantastic job trying to keep everyone happy and trying to be fair, I was lucky getting the odd backload but to be honest ran back empty, if I was to give a figure on my earnings I would say over 2 years I earned 50k, but expenses had to come out, fuel, van costs and insurance. Would I go back?, probably would because, I've worked at worse places.
