Lack of management skills
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 18 March 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI would not recommend working here. Most of the managers do not have people skills. Some are 2 faced bully’s. They expect a lot of work for long hours and low pay.

Not the greatest employer
coordinator (Former Employee) - London - 13 March 2022
Poor management and they are not interested when there are problems. Expected to lie to customers. They favour all the yes people and not the actual staff that get the job done

Productive
Courier Driver (Current Employee) - Manchester, Greater Manchester - 9 March 2022
Good company to work for. A fast paced environment so need to be very mobile. Hours to suit and additional hours available in the evening or at weekends.

Friendly and ambitious
Sales Exec (Current Employee) - London - 24 February 2022
Top company to work for. They value their people and provide opportunities for growth. Ambitious company always looking to innovate. There's a good variety of work to keep you engaged too.

Unproductive workplace
Recruitment Administrator (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 22 February 2022
Less than average pay, unprofessional environment, lack of progression, same tedious regime of cold calling applicants and the rates the drivers make are unfair in comparison to other courier companies

Thieving Company
Self Employed Courier Driver (Former Employee) - Leeds remote - 9 February 2022
They cut you short on jobs just to pocket the money themselves. Even though they're making a cut from every job anyway. They don't care if you have health issues. Your expendable at any time.
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours.

don't have enough work
Multi Drop Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Glasgow, Glasgow - 3 February 2022
send you to pick up 7 large 20kg boxes from south side of Glasgow to centre of Glasgow job pays £4.25 take of fuel and parking making about £2 and some jobs Glasgow to Livingstone pays £31 but if they give you couple of jobs same time they'll only pay you £21 for that same job because in there view were giving you a few jobs its all about shafting the drivers for anything they can.
Pros
kind of get left to your own
Cons
far to many £4 and £5 jobs not enough decent paying jobs

Ok for warning extra monies but tough to make it full time
Multi Drop Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - South East - 30 January 2022
Excellent for giving you freedom to choose how often you want to work and what hours. Inconsistent on earnings however and the recent fuel hikes not been reflected in earnings increases Some days you will only cover your fuel
Pros
Very flexible and not hundredsof drops
Cons
Rates of pay poor after deducting costs

Jobs at CitySprint
Liers
Self Employed Courier (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 27 January 2022
Controllers send u out far on motorbike, only to come back into town and theirs no work. They hire a lot of driver and then place some drivers on guarantee of 150 or 125 per day. They choose who to Work for them. Controller are rude, liers and pushy.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Long hours, low pay, controllers are rude, waist time waiting and no jobs. Yet it's a very big company. Controller lie about job price

Profesional company
Courier Driver (Former Employee) - Letchworth, Hertfordshire - 25 January 2022
I have worked for a long time for this company and I can tell you that it is a professional and serious company, with colleagues who are always happy to help you solve any problems. I worked with my personal car. I recommend.

Low paid courier work
Courier (Former Employee) - Warwickshire - 14 January 2022
Lucky to get 50p per mile, some work at 43p per mile. Cost of fuel has gone up and yet price per mile stays the same. Can deliver all over mainland UK but for pittance. Would not recommend and will not be working for them again. End up put of pocket to deliver one parcel and they call and try make out you are doing them a favour by earning nothing.
Pros
None
Cons
Low price per mile, no guarantee of work.

Don't work for them, you won't earn anything
Worst company to work with. management are a joke. They expect you to do a job which could be a 50 miles and pay you £19 for it. If you say no, they wil get funny and won't offer you work for rest of the week.
Pros
None
Cons
Pay is shocking, don't waste you time

A really bad place to work - Drivers are being exploited!!!
Driver (Former Employee) - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire - 19 November 2021
I have been working for Citysprint for 6 months now, the pay is horrendous. I have no idea how anyone can feed their families with the pay. The hours aren't too bad, some long hours but it seems fair.. however the pay is so terrible, when you deduct fuel, you have literally done the job for free. The controllers in the office are horrible people, they definitely will not give you jobs if you upset them. They are rude and selfish, expect drivers to always help them out and work like a dog with no pay and they have no idea that us drivers are working hard, trying to feed our young children. This company is simply exploiting us drivers so the big people can make money.
Pros
You work on your own.
Cons
No pay and unethical people in the office.

I worked at Oxford for a year and before that at Crawley I was given work most days, if you help them they will help you, had a regular round at Oxford with wickes every day plus Saturdays. Enjoyed every minute of it and would do it again
Pros
If you get regular work great
Cons
Can be long hours, help them and they will help you

A lot of changes
Manager (Former Employee) - South East - 12 September 2021
City sprint are in a bad state and have been for the past 3 years. They’ve found a buyer in DPD but they have been trying to sell for a long time and because of this they have been forcing out staff for a long time. It is not a respectable or nice place to work and whilst the culture was good 3-4 years ago it’s a shadow of its former self now.
Pros
None
Cons
Bad management, poorly run, unappreciated

Not enough pay to pay your way
Self Employed Courier Driver (Former Employee) - Aberdeen - 9 September 2021
As above , you’ve got to work more or less non stop and take every job that gets sent to you even if it’s a £5 job for 5-10 mile trip but you only get paid one way so it your pocket that pays for the fuel. Having you own van helps but wear and tare is NOT included in your running costs per job
Pros
None
Cons
You MUST work ALL the hours in a day to make it worth your while

Pros
None
Cons
Bunch of con people
