Can you work from home?
Asked 28 July 2023
We encourage our trainees to be in the office as much as possible to begin with but once you’ve found your feet you can work 1-2 days a week at home (with further flexibility at the senior level).

At Client Server, we believe in working hard but we know that to do that we need to feel good, meaning we have a great work/life balance. Our consultants tend to be in the office from 8-8.30am to around 5.30pm and we also offer hybrid working to allow flexibility for life admin. We genuinely encourage staff to take breaks during the day and have gym memberships available, we encourage physical as well as mental fitness through a range of information and activities organised by the mental health committee too. (Of course, there are targets and how successful you are will ultimately be determined by how much effort you put in.)

Yes! All new team members are welcomed into the business via the Client Server Induction Programme. We spend the first few weeks ensuring you have all the information, resources and introductions necessary to do your job, whilst feeling happy and settled amongst your new colleagues. Once you’re up to speed, we schedule weekly one-to-ones, performance reviews, ongoing training sessions and create your Personal Development Plan, which allows us to track your progress against your individual targets and ambitions. We’re fortunate to have a diverse team with a range of experience in the recruitment industry and beyond, meaning there are plenty of people to learn from as well as real examples of progression.

We hire great people who want to be the best at what they do - our culture reflects this! Recruitment is all about communication, so naturally, we’re an open office (literally and figuratively!), where information and support can be shared. Team building is important, so we get everyone together for a monthly company meeting and social where we celebrate successes and can catch up in a less formal environment. Talking of environments, we have a relaxed dress code, beer fridges, charity events, team lunches, a baking league and a dog-friendly Esher office, which all go towards making Client Server a unique and hard to beat place to work.

Yes, in some cases, however, it is dependent on the requirements of the client. These will be specified in the job descriptions or through discussions with the hiring consultant.
