Clinical Professionals is a successful Pharmaceutical recruiter, with a good reputation in the market.
It's a good place to get a start in recruitment and learn the basics as they have lots of business relationships from when the company was owned and run independently, so there's a good chance to get stuck in filling some jobs.
With their offices in central Reading/London, there's always a good bunch of people to go to the pub with after work.
However, due to minimal and very basic training programmes, and a heavy top-down management approach, any promotions amount to little more than a change in job title, so would do nothing to further your career.
There are about 70 people in the company, but over 100 came and left during the few years I worked here. Surely a clear indicator that management doesn't understand how to train new starters or keep it's longer term employees engaged. There are less than 5 billing consultants who have been in the company for more than 4 years.
Let the AD's/Directors run the day to day running of the business as they are considerably better placed to understand the current market trends and correct processes to utilise in order to succeed.
Pros
Great people from Directors down
Cons
Shocking micromanagement from SLT, lack of empathy from SLT
Working at clinical professionals has been absolutely wonderful! The management is fantastic and the team collaboration is outstanding.
The social work balance is phenomenal! Definitely a work hard play hard company.
I have no bad words to say about CP and anyone wanting to try recruitment I would highly recommend this company.
Brilliant environment to be in with a mix of staff. Management are approachable and easy to talk to and a great HR team to listen if ever needed!
The working hours mean to can have a great work/life balance and the benefits to support help.
There's a lot of opportunity to grow within the business as its growing and a clear pathway is set out for you to help you to achieve your goals.
The most enjoyable part of the job would be the events days where you can win prizes ect...
Overall a great company to work for.
Pros
Great hours, Growth within the company
Good company if you want to progress as a Recruitment Consultant
Workplace culture was good, the company often took part in celebrating annual events (e.g. Halloween and Christmas)
Strict KPIs, depending on what you achieved was when you are able to leave
Great crowd to work with, probably should be more organised with training current employees, this could work for those who like being left alone to learn the ropes.
Pros
The people there
Cons
The training
We want to help you find great companies. Help us be the best!
