Good to start with.
RGN (Former Employee) - Scotland - 24 August 2023
I think the glory days of Clinical 24 are now over. Good at the start however there is no longer any shifts - good rate of pay however not enough work to cover the bills! Not the most supportive of agencies and leadership poor - a lot of talking (line spinning) and not enough listening. They don't really have your back! Shame really!
Pros
Rate of pay is good
Cons
Shifts have dried up! Not the most supportive of agencies.

Fantastic company to work for
Staff Nurse (Current Employee) - Glasgow, Glasgow - 26 May 2023
I've worked with clinical24 for just over a year as an agency nurse and can definitely recommend working for them. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and seem to genuinely care about the staff. I always manage to get shifts that suit my availability and if you keep in contact with them, and let them know youre availability they will go above and beyond to get you shifts. No hassle or pressure to pick up extra. Whilst the care home rates arent as good as with some other agencies, I still prefer working with clinical 24 as they are great to work for. Would recommend.

Very good for work life balance, for the pay rate
HCA/Support Worker (Current Employee) - Nursing, residential,support worker,etc - 24 March 2023
The best agency for the good pay rate, no harrasment to take the shifts, adapting to my needs and offering good shifts, or hours to work. Flexibility. Maybe, they could offer a taxi for example, when is a short notice call. Would be a good idea. And,aswell block bookings for some shifts. Good agency, no discrimination and very inclusive, who understand different situations or problems of their staff.
Pros
Very good shifts, nights, days
Cons
Not always they offer what I need, in terms of a distance, because I'm not a car driver

Well paid, no harassment agency.
HCA (Current Employee) - Dundee and surrounding areas - 9 October 2022
One of the better paid agencies to work for. Do not harass you to take shifts like some of the other agencies. Sometimes you may have to keep on at the consultants to find suitable shifts, but they are very obliging. They also take concerns about clients/homes on board and work with you to solve problems.

Big mistake
Agency staff nurse rmn (Former Employee) - Scotland - 21 July 2021
Bad experience was told registering would be quick however starting work took about 2 months 1st thing they did was approach references. the agency I was working with weren't to happy that I was leaving and I wasnt offered many shifts. The whole process seemed disorganised (was asked to submit video interview twice, took them weeks to apply to a different company for background checks). I had wanted to speak to someone clinical regarding what the work would involve still waiting. I asked for 4 shifts per week most I ever got offered was 3. They dont listen when you put a distance on how far you'll travel. If you come across any problems and need some guidance or support no response. (Turned up for a shift to be allocated 4 patients on enhanced observation 3 rmns on nights just me days ). After that experience I asked not to be booked in that area again, they did. Communication poor depending on who you speak to. Time sheets rejected each week due to pedantic reasons. Recieved panicky phone calls around my training which had been approved prior to them allowing me to work which I never got an explanation of. Not the best experience very different to any other agency I've been with big mistake
Pros
None (a few staff were helpful some awful)
Cons
No support from clinical staff, too many to list here

Rude, Pushy & Unprofessional
(barely) current employee (Current Employee) - Scotland - 1 October 2019
Phonecalls at 2am.
Attempts of being forced into a shift when you didn't give availability.
Inconsistent rates of pay.
Pushy attitudes of the very few office staff.
When it comes to professionalism there's a significant difference between an employer that cares and an employer that only cares about targets. And that lack of professionalism comes across quickly with these lot.
Avoid if you can find another agency to work for.

Jobs at Clinical24
excellent employer
Staff Nurse (Current Employee) - Glasgow - 4 January 2019
I have worked with clinical 24 since the start, the staff are friendly and polite, I get 3 shifts a week minimum, the hardest part of my job is the short notice, the areas I am sent to are very accommodating, I love the variation from wards to care homes.
Pros
flexible
Cons
short notice
