Bad management

Indeed featured review

Worked here for about,2 weeks then decided to leave, got told at interview that you earn Great money which was lies, lucky if I earned £40 per week, then got accused of depot manager that I wasn't putting enough bags out, which was rubbish, we were putting hundreds of bags through people's door and hardly anyone was filling them and putting them out for collection, then they have the cheek to get onto you for not making enough money and threating to pay you off because of this, this company is a disgrace to work for and I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone else to work for them, it's a conn, full of promises at the interview Which never even happened for us, it's a complete joke

Official response from Clothes Aid (Services) Ltd.

Whilst we dispute pretty much everything contained within this review - everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This was during the Covid period and we had to shut the depot for several months due to donators being too worried to fill the charity bags - this could be a reason why this team didnt succeed. Since lockdown has ended - teams have been collecting 2 or even three times what they were pre-covid (charity shops shut, people had a good sort out during lockdown etc). Scotland in Nov 20 is a very different place from those dark times in March

Excellent staff and management

This was a role I absolutely enjoyed. No two days were the same. I gained vasts amounts of knowledge and experience whilst managing my own department. i started off as an assistant and worked up to middle management, the promotions are there if your willing to work hard to get them. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Middle and higher management are friendly and willing to help in difficult situations whether work or personal related. I dealt with clients all over the UK mainland, obtaining relevant permissions to allow Clothes Aid to raise vast amounts of money for over 9 UK based charities.

A great place to work for the right candidates

In house hierarchy can be a bit much
