Cognizant has been one of the fast growing consulting firms in the industry, since its change in leadership the dynamics in the organisation has changes . It's hard to find recognition for your role.

Mundane work in some projects
Decent payGood hikesIn current scenario the company is ready to match offer from other companies if you're good at your job. They try to genuinely retain talent which is appreciated.Management needs to understand why the attrition rate is high rather than just throw money to retain talent. Root cause analysis is required.Work life balance depends on projects. Have worked on terrible projects requiring over 15 hour per day and have worked in decent projects as well. It is up to the individual to draw the line and let the management know when they are overloaded.HR team is good and listens to its employees unlike other companies where the HR only listens to the manager.Overall a decent experience. Thank you.

Interview questions

For the pre-training interview, you are asked the classic 'tell us about yourself' question, along with 'what do you know about the cloud?' and 'why you would want to work in that industry?', then there is a quick discussion on your performance in a written python assessment, where you may be asked about your reasoning for using a particular function or how you would improve it, in some cases you may be further asked about your programming knowledge. Finally you are asked if you are geographically flexible (an essential for the role) and if you have any further questions. At the end of the training, the questions really are dependent on your performance during training. In my case I was asked things like 'what was your favourite part of the training and why?' as well as technical questions relating to the content taught to make sure you've been paying attention, what team would you like to work in and why, and finally they asked again if I was geographically flexible, an answer which should have already been noted during the previous interview.
