Reviews about Pay & benefits for Registered Nurse at Colten Care
Very unhealthy place to work for
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) - Dorset - 18 June 2021
First of all they have a culture of giving you max 2 weeks rota so that you can not make any future plans …. Aka plan a weekend getaway….. cause you never know when you’re working or not …. Rota changes a lot …. From one day to another ….. Salary quite good and weekly payroll - however they tend to mislead people with promises of senior roles and higher pay — and that is never happening….. especially if you’re hard working than it won’t happen…. And existing sensors have a culture there ….. they tend expect you to uphold your contractual clauses but they don’t have to …. That’s a bit unfair …. So yea management and upper management are quite bad! Even so to say they tend to be a bit discriminative! But that’s for everyone to experience on their own skin ….. Low staff numbers and big staff turnovers….. this means rush on shifts …. High expectations ….. Their hand written Paperwork and care plan system is created by nurses who wouldn’t last two long day shifts on units with 27 residents ….. with the amount things they expect you to do….. especially as a nurse …. The homes are huge, stunning, purpose, built, cleanest I have been to!!! Residents are sometimes assessed as residential - when they’re definitely not !! And this is impossible to change ….. there was highly aggressive resident kept in “residential nursing home” staff was battered on regular occasions - management had only one thing to say- we can’t move the resident ……. Training is very bad
Pros
Weekly pay
Cons
Culture

Excellent company to work for
RN (Current Employee) - Hampshire - 10 April 2018
I have worked for this organisation for 18 months and have nothing but praise for them. I am treated with dignity and respect as an employee and the residents are at the centre of all systems and processes in order to provide high quality care.
Pros
Resident centred care and a friendly environment
Cons
The organisation have not yet embraced social media. Doubtless It'll come
