Great innovation and place to work with very solid co workers. Good technology and opportunity to develop careers. Hard work is needed and not always recognised/rewarded

Thank you so much for your ongoing efforts in serving our customers! And thank you for sharing details about your personal experience as we strive to continuously improve our work experience for all employees.

Rude supervisor and management

AVOID AT ALL COST! Way to target driven with unrealistic targets for the work.Supervisor couldn’t give an 15 minute induction as was too busy. But expect new starter to work 8 hours.Asked for an induction and was told by management that I was showing a bad attitude.Manufacturing process is very tricky and very boring. Nobody talks to you and because you have to start 15 minutes later due to Covid rules, you have to finish your shift 15 mins later. After 12 weeks you get a generous pay rise of 11 pence and hour. FML!!

Pros

Above Actual Living Wage

Cons

Repetitive work and management treat you like dirt

Production

Management are devious they are not truthful or honest, place is below health and safety, Rats run freely around factory and corridors, when using bins outside vermin in bins.No temperature control.Machines not running correctly, taped together with cables, strings.

Pros

Wages, good workforce, not Management

Cons

Long shift, conditions of factory.

Good place to work

Commscope is a good company and I am only leaving after 25 years due to redundancy. The office is in Salts mill and has a very relaxed atmospere. A lovely place to work

Fiber optics

Good job, when there is work. great team! Not very well run at all due to lack of communication. No chance of progression that I’ve seen so far, the people who have changed job roles within the company, haven’t had the official job title changed and the wages have not changed, just compromised by giving shift allowance. Which dosnt give the correct pension contribution as the basic pay has stayed the same

Team leader

Poor management. No communication between team leader and colleagues. Team leader wouldn’t speak to you for days and when they did, they had nothing nice to say. Jealousy is an awful thing...

Pros

Uniform

Cons

No communication

Good Company and Technology - Bad Culture

Company has greta technology and ideas, is made up of multiple separate companies that have been bought over the years. Integration should be key whereas we have too many departments working against each other.

good work some good guys

not a bad word too say ! only thing I would say is the ability too earn extra eg ( overtime ) is no longer a possibility and that would be the only bad thing how orders have dropped off in recent times

Pros

good people

Cons

big down times in orders

Good working team

The Advanced Development team were a joy to work with, working on Electro-mechanical projects with good local management. it was a good collaborative environment with everyone willing to help out when required. My working day could be quite varied ranging from PCB layout design, managing other designers, leading mechanical design efforts, integration of the electronic and mechanical with local and remote world wide teams (including travel for face to face meetings) as well as Patent applications and other process development and documentation. Where as some of the communication and leading with the upper management could sometimes leave a little to be desired, one of the most enjoyable part was working with others to produce the desired results on time and in budget and enjoying the challenge of being able to solve problems in the pursuit of this.
