Productive, fun and loving place to workHighly recommend this company, the ethos of the homes are therapeutic and loving with lots of fun had. It is a strong caring team who support one another. It can present its challenges as can all jobs but with the support from everyone it still keeps you smiling. The children are a joy to be around and love having fun through activities which means we all get to have fun. The company promotes progression and are very supportive if this is what you want, with lots of benefits to be had. Couldn’t be a nicer place to work.

Avoid this company at all costs! This is honestly the worst company I have come across. You’re manipulated into working overtime, have no work/life balance and unprofessional management. The company have lost sight of the purpose being the care for young people and only care about making profit.

It's not what you know it's who you knowManagement look after their favourites. Promised career progression at the interview never happened. Management being in their friends and partners in high paid positions and don't look after the hard working loyal staff they have. No support when being physically and verbally abused by the children in their care, children in their care not listened to or supported. Lot of work needs to be done on a more therapeutic supportive approach to children and staff.

At times it can be tough but it's so worth itWhen working in the home it can be challenging at times with the different behavioural needs of the children but i try not to let the challenges get the better of me. It's very rewarding to see the children happy and enjoying every moment, especially when you are there to contribute. The managerial staff are very supportive whenever anything can get a bit much! I definitely would recommend Compass for anyone looking for a new journey or simply want to continue on a similar work path.

Not like any other children's homeThe most beautiful home i've ever worked in, a company not scared to invest in children or staff. Lots of support from managers and other staff, and really really rewarding work with children. There is lots of training on offer to those who want to do it, and since being here I have seen support workers go on to more senior roles in the company. I loved the day to day working with the kids, especially taking them on days out etc. It can be a hard day if any of the children are struggling, but there are lots of other staff on hand to support and advise each other.
