It's a job I suppose

Worked for 4 years with the same service user in their own home ,that was fine. Issues did crop up , management I felt at first did listen until line managers changed , upon leaving was promised a reference by line manager only to be told 2 weeks later HR had to provide it , I had to chase this in order to start my new job , when that was provided all it referenced was my name and address and to say yes I had worked for them ... 4 years and that's what we get .. work through covid without a day off ... I was right to leave as I felt underappreciated , that confirmed it !

Cons

Long hrs, underappreciated, would get called asked to pick up shifts when on days off or annual leave

I create good relationship with people l work with

Is not very positive lake of accountability, no attention or follow up from the managers . No follow up on how we handle our work or even to call and ask how are we keeping.
